Shea VanHaven
Nice. So for someone accommodating a wealth accumulation strategy based on +10% y.o.y. that's a hard hit.

Shea VanHaven
Thing is, Cambridge has a huge knock on for it's outlying areas. So where exactly are all those Chinese when we need them to come and keep it all afloat?

It is now part of China’s national curriculum, taught to all schoolchildren as an example of the modern poetry movement in the early 20th century. crashmonitor
A shame some fruitbats have escaped the Cambridge slum asylum up the A14 and created another outbreak of insanity in Rutland. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Rutland/Cambridge/@52.4318377,-0.8507388,9z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x48777880b8438a97:0xfd337cf921bbf1cb!2m2!1d-0.639643!2d52.6583014!1m5!1m1!1s0x47d85d89f32a012d:0x63a320e1a35e3d21!2m2!1d0.121817!2d52.205337!3e0 Edited February 15, 2017 by crashmonitor

Maybe the chinese only know of 3 places in the UK, London Cambridge Oxford. so is cambridge the poster child for HPC? is this the canary in the coal mine? will be interesting to see what london does, I can see a little merit in some areas being "stable" due to crossrail coming on line in the next year or two, but the varsity line isn't due to kick off until about 2020(even though it's desperately needed the planners have made a balls-up- they have bletchley as the crossing point rather than Milton keynes..it would have made more logistic sense to connect the main "hub" stations that cater for both metropolitan AND long distance rail) should have been oxford-mk-bedford-cambridge..a couple of flyovers to connect to thameslink mainline, and get rid of the spaghetti outside bedford station, putting trainwash/maintainance at the old stewartby brickworks(still derelict) likewise a missed opportunity with luton airport..could easily put in luton-stevenage-bishops stortford-stansted airport and shave an hour+ off a cross country trip...no problem with footfall as the two airports alone have nearly 30m travellers. the bus from one airport to the other takes nearly 2 hours(on a 2 hourly basis, usually late being stuck on the M1),and it's only about 30 miles as the crow flies...even on a fairly standard train with a few stops in between i make that about a 30 min journey...with a purpose bUilt stop at luton airport thrown in(they are currently renovating said airport so now would be the ideal time to do it, but noooo, they've gone for a high-tech guided rail/bus thing from parkway apparently which is costing £200m) Edited February 15, 2017 by oracle

Cambridge is a bubble on top of a boom. The bubble will burst, the tide of hot far eastern and european money will go out (eventually), but AstraZeneca and Microsoft Reseach aren't going anywhere and the next ARM Ltd or Cambridge Silicon Radio will be along in due course. LittlePig
Well the influx for AstraZeneca is over, and AZ is unlikely to be the size it currently is in the future.
