Police say a 30-year-old named Edward Archer, who has been arrested, pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group. Maybe it is or maybe it isn't (to do with it) but it appears that Islam was the justification in the attackers mind - like it is in all these attacks. If it's not to do with the religion why do they keep on shouting it is whenever they attack. The Mayor is no more a mind reader than anyone else so why does he claim to be one. So he must be claiming to represent the peaceful side - when is that side going to hold sway - sometime soon or maybe never. It will however have been inspired by the culture and history surrounding football and these clubs. You also get a similar line trotted out by the clubs: "These people are not proper football fans, and this has nothing to do with our club."
