Nationalist
After Christmas is the traditional time for banks to pull the plug on businesses they don't want to support anymore. Sancho Panza
Shopping Centre in the Capital* up for sale as owners go into administration! http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/11703027.Shopping_centre_up_for_sale_after_owners_enter_administration/The Brooks Centre in Winchester is up for sale after its parent company -entered administration--- *Ok don't get too excited, Winchester was the Capital when the Romans were here. Administrator Jim Tucker said: “In recent years, the value of the portfolio in relation to the security has fallen such that the appointment of administrators was necessary. “We will be working with the asset managers of the properties and the KPMG Real Estate team to improve the rental income across the portfolio so as to maximise its value.” De Stefano also owns land home to the former East Street Shopping Centre in Southampton, with the administration casting doubt over the two-acre site’s future. The Brooks, which opened in 1991, was fully let for a year around the turn of the millennium. Currently, almost half of the centre’s 24 units are empty or used as ‘pop-up’ shops. But its 15 permanent shops, including Beales, Primark and HMV, are expected to stay open.' Some of these smaller shopping centres are really going to struggle if they start discounting space in the bigger ones. After Christmas is the traditional time for banks to pull the plug on businesses they don't want to support anymore. Bank accounts are briefly in the black so they can kill the line of credit without taking a loss.
