And well done for resisting the urge to post a yt link. This whole thread seems like part of an FSB attempt to overload internet hubbs across the western world ... must check to see whether singingpig are sharing fave episodes of HomesUnderTheHammer. CrashedOutAndBurned
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlDpXpcVyZI Silas! This little dubbed German ******er was on TV EVERY Summer and Easter holiday without fail for several years. It's a shame that kids don't get this sort of dubbed rubbish these days - it was great fun. deflation
For foreign dubbed stuff I remember: The Flashing Blade - THAT had a cracking theme tune White Horses - nice tune too The Singing Ringing Tree- a lot of anti-communist metapohrs in there apparently, the only way East European artists could express themselves was through kids' TV. It was a bit weird. The Water Margin - not strictly kid's TV but I loved it as a teenager And may I give an honourable mention to Chorlton and the Wheelies? Little old laaady - Fiona the kettle witch. Edit: looked it up, it was Fenella, not Fiona, sorry.
CrashedOutAndBurned
I used to love the tellybots which have either been forgotten by TV history or I've gotten the name wrong because this is all I could find of them on google. Dude, those are the Telebugs - everyone knows that. Actually, I hadn't even thought about them in more than 25 years!
SNACR
None of this looks in the same league as Oliver Postgates stuff. I acknowledge bias..... Shame the last government thought the Bagpuss episode in which the mice have a chocolate biscuit factory as an economic model for the whole country. In fact, the mice are very reminiscent of New Labour with their monotonous 'we will fix it' chirruping - yeesss you did 'fix' it.

It was a bit weird. Saw these two in the 60's the first time round..Robinson Crusoe had a fab theme tune too. The Singing Ringing Tree was a seriously scary programme for young kids!
