The other side of the story, particulalrly given the current economic nightmare, will be renters simply not being able to afford rent rises, so moving in with mum , friends sofa, the caravan / camper van etc . Anecdotally, in NW low income areas, I am seeing laandlords with 12 or so houses for rent selling up.
