Guest Skinty
Unfortunately the entire population would then suffer from rickets due to Vitamin D deficiency. Just in time for the flu season! I like the idea of the anti-CCTV protest though, but wouldn't it just make the burkha socially normal? Not saying that's a bad thing, just other repressions might become more in-grained as well. Monkey
if a woman went to an islamic country, she would be forced to cover up her flesh/head at all times, as that is how it is over there. we agree to it out of respect, at time it feels that al arge %age of forigners do not respect OUR culture and heritage, but expect us to bow down to theirs they are prejucing against non islamci religions for this. so why can our ideals be upheld and no burkas over here, what is so wrong about that? oh no its not PC, ********, they dont give a stuff about that sh!t towards non islamic people in thir country, so why should we? its like that couple in Dubai getting done for shagging on the beach, as its not the correct thing to do in Dubai. And....it happens all the time over here. soon one side of all this PC tripe will snap in this country, and there will be massive Civil unrest because of it. Grime- skint wouldbe ftb
they are prejucing against non islamci religions for this. so why can our ideals be upheld and no burkas over here, what is so wrong about that? This point is often made. In many Islamic countries women are told to cover up by the Islamic police. Walking around completely covered up is totally alien to our cultural and societal norms, and is in many ways offensive to us. As we don't have a police force to tell these people to stop walking around in tents, its up to us British people to speak on the street. No doubt the EHRC Quango would view that as racial harrasment, but the time has finally come for the British people to grow a back bone and fight back. Unfortunately, as many of them don't even speak our language, saying "you shouldn't wear that, its offensive to us" to them in a shop or on the street would probably be a waste of time. East is East, West is West, and ne'er the twain shall meet.

Son of Fred
Villains disguised in religious clothing to commit crimes/ walk out of jail etc. one of the oldest tricks in the book. Obvious answer - ban the wearing of clerical garb. But why just pick on Muslims? Has nobody here seen 'Nuns on the Run'? or 'Sister Act' ( 1 & 2) ???? What about that film where Brigitte Nielsen is an assassin dressed up as a Nun? And who can forget Jake Thackray's cautionary tale? The Ayatollah Buggeri
Robbers or not, people walking around under bedsheets belongs in the dark ages. I believe it still happens in some parts of the southern United States; the only difference from the Islamic version being the colour of the bedsheet. Doom Lord
If people want to wear it then they should be allowed to wear it. This is England not some repressive Islamic State. In my opinion the only reason the state could have for wanting it banned is that one bed sheet has managed to foil the billions and billions of Euros\Pounds invested in CCTV and Face recognition software. Guest joeschmo
Guess that we should ban children dressing up in halloween costumes as well such as this shocking example. http://www.halloweencostumes4u.com/Merchan..._code=rub881904 ( Life, and get one, comes to mind reading some of the posts on this thread)

Nuns generally nowadays freely choose to be nuns, they arent compulsed to dress that way by abusive husbands or the requirements of a backward theocratic society. If they want to live in a backward theocracy, the middle east is full of them.

If they want to live in a backward theocracy, the middle east is full of them. Ok I'm not going to argue that this doesn't happen but I know plenty of muslims and I can say that there are muslim women who choose to wear this. The reason being is that they are very conservative not extremist. Also I know muslim women who don't wear it and dont pray 5 times a day and who's husbands don't beat them on a regular basis, have regular jobs and lead what we would consider a normal everyday life. I would also like to point out that there are plenty of english women that abused physically and sexually by their partners. If someone is in an abusive relationship then it's up to that person to do something about it and\or for the police to get involved one way or another regardless of what religion or not they are. Obivoulsy it's not as simple as that in real life but there is a process that can be followed. The real questions to be asked are: Is there enough room in GB for more people?, do we have the services available for them if there is? do the majority of the population want this mass imagration? and if not, why is it happening? Executive Sadman
The real questions to be asked are: Is there enough room in GB for more people?, do we have the services available for them if there is? do the majority of the population want this mass imagration? and if not, why is it happening? Because the ruling elite generation have it in theyre warped minds that it will somehow delay the pensions crisis until they are dead, that it will keep house values up until they die, and screw the rest of you i want my 2nd house in Tuscany. Same with all the voodoo economics. Its all short termist and all designed to give them an easy ride. Remember, todays 50-70 years old never had to fight in any wars. Their parents generation cleared much of the war debt and rebuilt a devastated country by the time they had finished school. When they got the vote in the 60-70s they went for socialist govts to give them free education and liberal politics to enable unbridled hedonism. Then when they finished (grant paid for) university they decided they wanted big money, holidays german cars and all the rest so got Thatcher to sell off all what their parents had built up, and do away with laws that prevented short term speculation. By the late 1990s when some start nearing retirement, guess what, they all turn liebour again, so they can be fed the blood of the young and build up ever greater piles of debt. History will come to show the Baby Boomer generation as a parasitic group of heartless exploitationers. Unfortunately it will never change as the under 30s dont vote. Either that, or you believe the National front or similar that its a Jewish conspriracy to dilute and eradicate the White race.

Guest AuntJess
The French get quite a lot right: Agreed. I object to them on several levels: - They are an in-your-face( pardon the pun) testament of the subjugation of women. - They are an inappropriate garment in today's western society....H&S - Their continued use is evidence that we are being held by the 'shorthorns' by a stagnant, manipulative sect. I recently sent off my passport for a new one, as the old one is ten years old and goes out-of-date soon. The lady at the PO checked it for me and said that I might need the photo countersigning - as they are 'pretty hot' on these sorts of photos at the Passport office - and not to be surprised if I got it back with the request to countersign photo and verify identity. She said this was due to me not looking EXACTLY the same as I did 10 years ago!! Really? You don't say! Well I am: older...got slightly longer hair and different yet unobtrusive specs. So what's the problem? Everyone of my family and friends think that it is a very good likeness and my daughter says I look no different, save hairs and specs. Can you believe that people are wandering the highways and byways, going into banks and other sensitive areas with bluddy burkhas on and I have to jump thru' hoops, 'cos I have dared to be slightly different that I was 10 years ago.!! It begs the question what sort of passport do these blighters have, or have they had that necessity waived, as it threatens their cultural status and subsequently their human rights? Bah! Humbug!

Guest Barebear
Absolutely, if a shop keeper doesn't want to run the risk getting robbed by someone wearing one, then they can choose not to let them in the shop. I cant see this is something that can be dealt with by yet more legislation. The thought of people being told what they can and cant wear by government is ridiculous. Ha ha if a shopkeeper doesnt want a robber in their shop simply dont let them in. Why haven't they thought of that ? All that needs to happen is burkhas need to be modified. I.E. have a flap over the genital area where someone can reach in and squeeze, that way we know if its a genuine female wearer or a male pretending. Guest Barebear
I think everyone in the UK should wear a burkha all the time. Not to promote political and religous tolerance, but to ****** up the CCTV camera culture. If every ******er went around dressed head to toe like a ******ing ninja then they might as well not bother with the cameras. Add to that burkha's for cars as well. Bah! Humbug! I can tell you what sort of passport they have. I cant remember the exact country but when I worked in the airport there was a flight once or twice a week where they would all produce passports of them in burrkhas with there face completly covered. Unbelievable but true, we then went to the trouble of taking liquids from their hand luggage and the usual other checks. It was a total mockery. UK wake up.
