Vespasian
It was a repossessed 2 bedroom villa in a finished secure development in Spain complete with communal swimming pool. The highest bid was £310. Oh how I laughed. £310 as the highest bid! Let me join you in a chortle, Paul

paul65
So when will you post the sale prices and those that failed to sell? I am looking forward to it! 'Fraid I wasn't at the auction yesterday Tara. Was anyone else from this forum there and could they provide me with the info regarding sale prices and outcomes so that I may post to http://nipropertyauctions.googlepages.com/

paul65
Hi Paul, I was on the right through the door, halfway along at the back. Did you not notice the Toga? Wow, I was sitting there too wondering where the bids were coming from. There was no bidding going on near me. I saw 2 bids in total during the evening, one on the other side of the room and one three rows ahead. Thats unreal! No wonder the prices were falling during the auction as the facade crumbled. What an eyeopener! Also, if you're gonna bid, go in at the end of the evening I won't be at Mallusk, but the Portadown site is near work, so its handy. I'll definitely go again Hi Vespasian - was wondering if you are going to the forthcoming Wilsons Property Auction in Portadown this coming Wed 23rd April 2008? It starts at 7.30pm. The flyer for the auction is below: The catalogue of properties entries/lots can be downloaded from here in PDF form I have a conflicting meeting which I can't change and if you (or anyone else here on the forum that can attend) could record the necessary figures I'd gladly post the report up on http://nipropertyauctions.googlepages.com/ for all to see. Unfortunately it looks like the CPS auction data from last week has eluded me and I'm desperate not to let this auction slip through my fingers as well so anyone here who can help me here please get in touch through this thread. Cheers Edited April 19, 2008 by paul65
Vespasian
Hi Paul, I doubt I can make it this week - but I'll see. Less than 50:50 at the moment

paul65
I'll attend and take the notes for you, Paul. Awesome woohoo2 - thanks for your help. I'll send you a PM (personal message) over this weekend with a blank Excel spreadsheet for you to print out and write the details from the night onto. Are you ok with Excel? You can use OpenOffice if you don't use Microsoft products. Then it's just a matter of you getting the completed spreadsheet back to me for me to upload to http://nipropertyauctions.googlepages.com. I really appreciate your help - this little forum works as a great team!

paul65
pod you know I just love it when a plan comes together! Picture cigar in corner of mouth. There's no more "crazy fools" out there in the property market any more thanks to NI HPC and that can only be good for house prices and general affordability. Will let you know by PM and on this forum when the balnk is ready for download later this weekend. Thanks again for your help.
JoeDavola
The catalogue of properties entries/lots can be downloaded from here in PDF form I wish I could attend this - I can't wait to see what everything sells for. Does anyone know why those flats in Scotland are only £20K each? It's a fantastic rental yield. After reading the prices of the flats in scotland and the house in Hull, compared to NI prices (even in bad areas of NI), I came away wondering why anyone would even consider buying a house in NI. Well Joe you shouldn't have to wait too long before you find out. Woohoo2 has kindly agreed to go along in my place (thanks Woohoo) and record opening bids, sales prices and outcomes from the evening. I'll post the data online at http://nipropertyauctions.googlepages.com/ just as soon as I get the completed data back. When you see the prices for mainland UK property it really does make you question why you would really consider buying here when prices are currently at the level they're at - even though they are now dropping. Just going to the last 4 auctions has been a real eye opener for me and I highly recommend popping along to an auction at some stage if you can. JoeDavola
If the auctions were in Belfast I'd be there like a shot. Portadown's just a bit of hike for me. Can't wait to see the results.

Hi Woohoo, I see your PM service has not been setup yet so posting this message here. I've setup the blank template for you there now and it is available to download from the top of http://nipropertyauctions.googlepages.com/ Alternatively you can download the file straight from http://nipropertyauctions.googlepages.com/...dApril2008-.xls Here's what I need you to do: 1. I need you to record the opening bid price ie. starting bid price in thousands eg. 25 for £25,000 2. Also I need you to record whether a sale was achieved. Options are: Yes No - Reserve not met Provisional sale only 3. Maximum bid in thousands eg. 100 for £100,000 That's all there is to it. I've formatted the spreadsheet so it should print on 2 pages to make it easy for you to manage. When you've completed the update to the spreadsheet after the auction you can email it back to me. I'll PM you on Wednesday (hopefully your account will be setup by then) with my email address so you kow where to send the file to. Many thanks again for your help. Edit: Typo of the spelling of Options Edited April 21, 2008 by paul65
