Thanks, Id love to but I dont graduate from uni til July so dont have an income yet (im currently on a self cert but dont want to remortgage on a self cert). My mum is in the process of getting me put on the books for her company (small white lie I know) so I can obtain payslips before June, get the mortgage and then "quit" mums company, which by then I'll be in full time graduate employment anyway.

When I was getting my mortgage 2 years ago some companies only wanted 1 month of payslips, or a letter from employer, this time its a lot harder they want 3 months minimum and there's no getting around them like last time :-(

What a hideous person. She claims that he doesn't mind committing a crime, so long as she considers it a moral crime. Her definition of moral seems to be that no-one gets hurt, but then goes on to take glee in pensioners being defrauded out of money by the EA she worked for and being able to defraud people who she was buying a house from by giving the surveyor a backhander to find non-existent faults with the house. I think her definition of moral is that she comes out on top regardless of who she tramples on. I hope I never have the misfortune of crossing her path (she'd probably trip me up and then sue me because she hurt her foot).

One thing about the web though - we see so little - so easy to be wrong and misunderstood. (I could be wrong about "her", in which case I'm sorry to her too. )

Thanks Durch. And yes I agree. I also have met people along the lines of this 'arrogant lady' and hope it is nothing more than a wind-up, but have my doubts & reiterate I hope she gets well and truly nicked.

I live in Lancaster and the closest rink is Blackpool at approx 25 miles and around 25-30 min drive, and Blackburn is about 30 miles down the M6/M61 and takes about 40 minutes.

However I commute to Bradford by personal choice because the lessons are so expensive at both Blackpool and Blackburn (£32 an hour, as opposed to £22 an hour) and because the opening times are flexible (11am-3.30pm daily) plus you can use patch whenever you like.

Blackpool, is only open in 2 hour slots and during Hot Ice season its only open 10am-12noon (which is too early for me most of the time). You cant use patch unless you have a lesson.

Blackburn is better with fairly flexible opening hours, but again you can't use patch unless you are a member of the club and have lessons with the coaches at the club (at Bradford anyone can use patch as long as you have your own figure skates and are over Skate Uk 6 or thereabouts).

A rink in Lancaster would be an excellent idea and oe I have looked into myself, although in the end the financing of it would have been a little bit more than I could lend, Morecambe/Heysham area would probably be best as land is cheaper and the council would almost certainly back plans that help regenerate the area. There is a large, young student population who I feel confident would use the rink (Lancaster Uni Bowland students had a trip to Blackpool rink last Saturday and had to get coach hire etc, the trip was £10 per person so clearly there's interest for ice skating).

... if I could be bothered I can track the ip, ring the hotel and tell them I'm from the fraud squad and find out her name... but I've got proper work to do....

At the risk of revealing myself to be incredibly dumb and naive when it comes to the internet, could someone explain to me what trolling/paid trolling is all about and why it occurs? I've often wondered why posters shout "troll" whenever a new member posts what seems to me a quite reasonable question. I always thought they were just lazy b*****s who couldn't be bothered to read around the site and wanted answers to their questions served up on a plate and with no personal effort on their part. But reading this thread it seems trolling is more than that.

Could anyone enlighten me?

There's a beautiful spelling mistake in there:

to prosecture for fraud the owness would be on them to prove I have committed a fraudulent act

As someone in debt at the end of a teaser rate, I think the 'oweness' is on her.

As for 'I'll learn' well Ive learnt that my mum went from single parent of 2, no money, absolutely brassic and crying over whether to cut off gas or elec first, and 20 years later to having a successful property company and she did this through shrewd money management and a bit of duckin and diving, got a few compo claims (she broke her ankle at home falling over, and instead of going to hospital, went to work and recreated the fall beside a pot hole in the car park) she's profited a lot through other people's negligence and then invested the money very well, and if my mortgage company are negligent in doing proper checks on me then I'm happy to profit from it.

You should read some of her posts about how she claims Direct Payments for a carer after faking fainting spells in town. She claims to only have blackout when standing up, which is why she can still drive.

I fear she's for real - just more naive than most con artists. She's obviously been brought up thinking this is the way people live their lives
