Mancghirl
Just mentioned the London price fall report. 'You know the housing market in in trouble when prices fall in London' He then tempered his remarks by saying 'Of course, some people may have a different view...estate agents!!!!' Methinks he may be one of us.
pootle
Round of applause for Steve. Of course he was on radio1 in the eighties and early nineties and parodied the excesses and subsequent miseries. Anyone remember Mr Angry? I think he has been for quite some time TBH, maybe like a lot of journalists afraid of the consequences if they stuck their necks out 'against the grain' and got it wrong.. As for his side kick well not too sure about him.

Fancypants
Anyone remember the Arnie/Total Recall spoof sketches he did & also Llama man? aye, and the rest. As a nipper growing up in the late 80s, I enjoyed his shows immensely.
muggle
Prefered Mark and Lard myself.
Belfast Boy
Prefered Mark and Lard myself. They were rubbish just like Scott Mills is now. Steve Wright and Chris Evans are the 2 best. Chris Moyles is alright most of the time. I have to keep switching between radio 1 and radio 2, to get the best shows
Charlie Don't Surf
Oh well, he's gone up in my estimation. Started off pretty low though!
Confounded
I heard him mention the London report, then when one of his co presenters mentioned the report about first time buyers being in more debt (no mortgage) than renters.
Newdirection
Oh well, he's gone up in my estimation. Started off pretty low though! I can't believe anyone takes an 80's has been DJ seriously. I tell you what, why don't you phone Smashy & Nicey for financial advice!

He is one of the all time greats. And like 80s music - best era...unlike this angry grunge rubbish we have now. I trust you are one of the grunge generation? Nothing original to say. music man
Surely the issue here is the public awareness this makes and not his professional or economic qualifications. So - good for him... Sentiment is a driver in the market and the more stock market crash HPC talk the better for those wanting affordable housing.
