  1. I signed up to Funding Circle a couple of months back and have lent a bit of money out with them. I started on autobid but didn't really trust it. Picking loans by hand is very time consuming and it seems to me that the rates offered to lenders has declined markedly even since I signed up. Not only should the rates reflect the risk of default but there is also the risk on a 60 month loan that base rates are likely to be somewhat higher. That doesn't seem to be the case. Any comments?

  4. Good news when house prices in Penzance reflect that it is not actually the desirable ancient Cornish seaside market town the EAs like to bleat on about. I actually thought houses were cheaper than that. £145k for Daniel Place and £115 for Caldwells Road. Shocking!

  8. So they paid £415k at the peak of the market, yet expect to make a 25% profit after prices have edged down for the last 5 years. Seems reasonable...

  10. I saw that. Think it was mentioned on here at original price. Like I've said before it is the Marazion factor.   11. I was there a few years back taking photos for a travel website. Really had to look hard to find anything worth taking a picture of - looks like I used 4 (http://www.dorsets.co.uk/photos/gillingham-photos.htm). Stones throw in any direction from these pics it really was pretty grim.

  13. That's a good £100k over what I'd have guessed. But then I'd have been going on the basis that Porthleven is rough as rats and all the nice houses are holiday cottages - which this one ain't!
  14. Nearly £1m - can definitely remember it being £900k I wouldn't be surprised to see it up for auction at some point.
  15. I note in the article it was a limited company. Surely if they had half a clue, at their ages, they would have bled the company for a decent pension pot at least.
