Look, everyone on here is a stranger to everyone else.

I could be a well to do IT contractor living the life of riley with an ex model highly intelligent girlfriend who is over ten years my junior.. Better looking then I deserve following a life of excess and misadventure.

Or I could be a 65 year old fat woman with a mustache called bernie.. (the mustaches name not mine... I mean this fictional character...)

Or I could be a lonely fool with no one to love me living in dispair at the country and blaming everyone but myself..

we are all strangers.. getting personal attackes any thin vinear of a character that we can portray on this site...

and misses the point.

All bull markets run until they turn.

There are many things which will drive this market to a peak and then cause it to turn downward...

Stating that all bubbles burst is a given..

Getting upset when people discuss the innevitable is childish.

and claiming that any assett can attain an unafordable price and maintain it through anything but speculation shows scant appreciation of the connection between the word "affordable" and "value"

We are not discussing if, we are discussing when.

Apom,

I can't work out if you are agreeing with me or disagreeing. I think most of the odd abuse is coming from PG, not me. I honestly think a stranger on a webpage who works himself up in text about people he does not know (i.e. PG) sounds a bit odd to me, by which I mean odd if you ever met them in the flesh. I would much sooner talk houses and crashes...

Why "Bernie" by the way?

bulls do think that markets will turn, they ride the bull run making money.

then they sell to fools, who think they are bulls and who think that the market will not turn.

they are the greatest fools in a greater fool market.

Not bulls.

No bulls don't think that markets will turn it is the professional investors who sell to ametuer fools who then become bulls so the story goes on, anyway we shouldn't interrupt our friends with boring house prices when the subject of the day is who picks up hairy bikers in public toilets  . I love the sense of humour some people have

apom is quite right - in a strongly rising market, everyone is a short term bull. The only real difference of opinion is WHEN it will turn.

The most 'bullish' bulls tend to be those with the least experience, or strangely (:-) those with the most to lose from the bull run ending.

Often, the MOST bullish are those two faced liars offloading to 'greater fools'. That's whats been happening this year so far, but the game is well and truly up, and the smart money is already out.

not as odd as some hairy-biker fixated wierdo who thinks he is in some sort of position to make comments on the personalities of anonymous posters on an anonymous internet forum. For all you know, SFB, I might BE your hairy biker boyfriend. I see the mods have pulled your more recent increasingly strident posts, including your disgusting links to hardcore porn sites. Tell me again who's odd?

You sound a little rattled PG.

I wonder of the mods realised that the Hairy Biker link was a cookery site? Sorry if you were disappointed...

my. they removed your 'cookery' link?

Maybe they just dont like you, pooper-scooter. Which would be no surpise. After all, you have nothing to contribute except a sense of humor that would do a flatworm proud.

We are all rattled, the country is ripping itself to pieces it a frezy of debt fuelled hysteria..

It wears us down, puts us on edge and as much as we all say we are cool and on control I still fantase about finding gordon brown tied to a table, his naked gut perfectly aligned and me with only a bucket with little air holes in it, some gaffer tape and a hungry rat to entertain myself

and I like to think I am not angry...

We should all unite, be angry with the politicians that have lied to us, not each other...

Peace man, apart from the champagne socialists.

first against the wall come the revolution :)

Yes, the Mods are often quite happy to keep the foul abuse from their favourite clown.

But posts attacking you often disappear very quickly <_<

I like scooters, some of my best friends are gay... so I wouldn't shoot them, not even the hairy ones.

(Note, I have only ever ridden proper bikes. I think scooters are funky, just not for me)

found it

BRITAIN should prepare for a shock interest rate rise this week — says the only economist to predict the last hike in January.

Simon Ward was the sole expert out of 50 polled at the time who forecast a rise.

Now he has warned the Bank of England will jack up rates by 0.25 per cent to 5.75 per cent on Thursday.

Only three other economists out of 61 are predicting a hike.

But Mr Ward said there were plenty of reasons for the Bank’s monetary policy committee — which sets rates — to act without delay.

These include recent price rises by retailers — who last month increased them by the most in eight years.

And he said figures out in the last two weeks showed even more firms ready to hike prices.

Mr Ward, of City firm New Star Asset Management, said: “I have a model of all the indicators the committee look at and it is telling me they will move.

“The earlier the committee acts, the lower the peak in rates will be.”

But he said that further interest rises were unlikely to damage the housing market.

it was only meant to be funny Sir Charles. Apologies for ruffling what's left of your hair.

If you are this lame when you are hiding behind your big, scarey avatar, how lame are you in real life? I am guessing very... Like I said, you seem to amuse yourself though, which I suppose is something.

what the fook are you banging on about now???? Is the sole point of your existence to stalk me thru these forums, speculating about what I might be like in real life??? You aare SERIOUSLY wierd.

If I upset Chas, I apologize, because I respect him, and his posts, even if he is the epitome of oldfartness.

YOU, on the other hand, are a waste of air. That's if you even use the stuff. As far as I remember, a lot of single-celled organisms are an-aerobic.

All this happy talk about rising interest rates is hilarious. You know they're only raising them enough to spook the markets a little which will give them the excuse to drop them to 1% again. Government funny money with its tiny yields is the last thing you want to be holding while assets are inflating into outer space.

I predict a rise of 0.25%

Why

We have had a rate rise in April (lost money on my last prediction), the MPC have started the job, I believe they will finish it. Another rise of 0.25 will make a difference against inflation.

Remember their job is keep inflation under controls not to worry if you can afford your mortgage or not, they dont give a stuff.

unless the asset inflation was a deliberate attempt to sucker the majority of the working population into voluntarily agreeing to economic slavery for the rest of their lives...

If that's the case, what comes next is higher interest rates, and massive asset crashes.
