No sign of a truck to round me up yet.Hilariously, I know someone who signed it and then got invited to a number ten drinks party a few weeks later! I don't think they were brave enough to be anything other than totally polite and deferential, mind. Ah, we English. only 12 want to see an end to the inflation tax (theft) we are doomed http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/TheGoldStandard/

Vested Disinterest
I nearly set up an anti-petition to this one, but realised it was harmless with its 5 signatories. http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/cheaperhomeloans/ Banks/building societies are not offering good value (ie 3%) mortgages to buyers unless they have something like a 40% deposit - preventing first time buyers from entering the market. Considering the recent tax-payer bail-out of financial institutions, I suggest banks should now start offering better value mortgages to first time buyers (ie 3% mortgages with LTV of 90%) so that the housing market can be reinvigorated and the economy strengthened (and first time buyers can be given some hope for a change!) I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
deadman
The petition has taken the number 12 spot and is less than 700 signatures away from making the top ten. Cool. It has become superfluous to the cause though
boredwithforum
Yer but Brown knows why people are signing this petition? because they are angry with MP's expenses and the handling of Gibson They don't really want me to go When I come across a POOR Bookie, Brown will lead the Labour to victory at the next General Election, but until that day arrives, Brown and Labour will be leaving No 10 Downing Street next year and Labour will not return for many years to come, not in my life time anyway Odds for the next PM, Brown is not even in the betting Cameroon - 1/5 Johnson - 4/1 Harman - 10/1 Miliband - 12/1 Mandleson - 20/1 Overall Majority Tory - 1/3 No - 5/2 Labour - 12/1 Most Seats Tory - 1/6 Labour - 6/
Cogs
When I come across a POOR Bookie, Brown will lead the Labour to victory at the next General Election, but until that day arrives, Brown and Labour will be leaving No 10 Downing Street next year and Labour will not return for many years to come, not in my life time anyway Don't you remember 1997? 1979? Its all so tiresome and the political equivalent of "no more boom and bust". No, there isn't going to be a 1,000 year Reich. (Apologies if you are actually saying your aren't very well). Vested Disinterest
This petition is going strong, but it seems a shame that half a million people feel so strongly about the red arrows...
