I still visit both Altrincham and Hale regularly (at least every 10 days) Altrincham high street continues to depress - it is now almost entirely cheap poundshop or charity shop or 6month rent free occupiers, ....the evening life I cannot comment upon The new shopping centre in Hale (HaleBarns) - looks great .....................but still has empty units! ......................the house prices continue to astound!!!!!!!! ................so everything is completely OK now

We bought below asking price but slightly above true value......... since our sale appeared on land registry.... all selling prices have risen!!!!!!!!!!

Banks are now just as greedy as any other seller.........(they no longer accept offers and quite often set a fixed price) we bid on one - and were laughed at over a year later I noticed had gone through land registry at a lower price than our offer mind you it did flood late last year (OH how we laughed!)

This country is currently............. ...........SKINT! ..................anything poular/necessary WILL be taxed to the hilt.......... ....................get used to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I voted UKIP because I am sick of how much it costs to be a member..... ................All the stupid oppressive laws we are currently expected to comply with, etc the EU only suits Germany - whose economy would nosedive if the EU ceased to exist In my opinion the EU only suits failed/un-elected politicians who move on to a lucrative "job for life" ....................the EU is pointless unless you are "eastern-European"

When we were selling last year our estate agent expressed utter disgust over the BBC move! apparently, several "high brow" estate agents in several "desirable" areas were persuaded to "invest" a lot of time and cash into "being geared up" to attend to lots of "celebrity" type BBC employees - the estate agent admitted that his company was out of pocket to the tune of over £10k and sold precisely 1 house which went for less than £200k. He was convinced that most of the BBC was stubbornly refusing to relocate (perhaps proven by certain breakfast TV presenters moving to ITV?)

I am totally utterly f*****g disillusioned with everything political in the UK...... however I accept that farrage is "speaking" for public opinion I work for an Asian owned company - they are ALL voting UKIP!!!!!!!!!! .....................as am I

Its my mother-in-laws 83rd birthday today...... yesterday it cost her £1.09 per oversized card from her postman to gain possession of 7 of her birthday cards i.e. well over £7.00 ........all cards were from elderly relatives Outrageous!

Have been a happy North Wales resident for nearly 2 months now weather was/and is surprising warmer than we expected (up until the gale of course) - we still travel back to see other relatives and it is always 2 or 3 degrees colder! living costs are much lower - petrol 3p litre less for example I suspect (getting back on topic) that the estate agents are tightly controlling the market

I predict that house prices in Wales will soon show a significant % price rise! ............lots of home owners are selling up, paying off their mortgage and looking to buy outright ...........Wales is one of the few areas these people can still afford! (ignoring the dreamer sellers by the way) ...........Oh congrats by the way

so I understand the ethos of the existence of this site............... but.................. there is NO differentiation of members........... members = genuine first time buyers............... covered! chaps who need to sell and financially downsize.................. ridiculed??!?? .................discuss please! ...............after all there are more in scenario 2 than scenario 1!!!!!!!

Jobs usually equal company cars........... taxation rules usually equate to them being on some sort of lease......... lease is either paid by company or personal allowance............ if job goes.............. company pays ..................or individual is screwed!!!!!!!!!!!! no one buys an expensive car unless they are seriously minted - they are all leased

Would this be...... most wards are staffed with "care worker" type staff with very little training, they are usually not even employed directly by the NHS, they are on rock bottom minimum wage and cannot wait to clock off because severe staff shortages result in agency staff (that cost a hell of a lot more than employing nurse would cost) those same agency staff do not fully understand the systems or patients on a ward they only arrived on this morning those same agency staff don't really care much or would it be a department managed by an accountant who doesn't really care how many heart attacks were admitted last night - only about how much over budget they went and why were the "stats" forms not completed correctly avoidable deaths are difficult to define, but almost all deaths occur due to lack of qualified staff who can actually treat someone, Oh but they are busy in the office filling in the stat forms...... :angry:

The solution is quite simple.............. Sack all Management and admin staff and employ a matron sack and ban ALL agency staff and actually employ nurses stop these stupid form filling time wasting rubbish Stop ALL the frivolous compensation claims - the human body will never be understood, so sometimes "fixing your illness" goes wrong - Tough! If they did ALL that the cost of the NHS would halve (spoken as an ex and very frustrated NHS employee)

some of us are old enough to remember the days when councillors were "volunteers" and took no income whatsoever.......... thesedays it is a very well paid career

That is a TERRIBLE attitude! shame on you! I am old enough to have enjoyed free dentistry, prescriptions, optical care etc as a youth. I realise that times change............. BUT the people you are lambasting and laughing at have contributed 50 plus years into this country without a squeak ...............how much have YOU contributed???? ...............and WHAT are you expecting once you achieve their age???? The problem with all of your points is a bit more basic................. you are talking about (on the whole) people in their 70`s or older! These people pre dated benefits, pensions, social care, etc, they also lived just after the war when times were really tough........ they were "PROMISED" that if they worked hard and paid their dues............ ...............that the state would look after them when they got old/retired ..............these people did that!!!!!! now all of a sudden the state didn`t mean it all their hard work and scrimping and saving was TOTALLY in vain in the meanwhile they have witnessed successive generations contributing NOTHING cheating tax, and benefits and getting EVERYTHING immigrants doing likewise :angry: the youth feeling they are OWED a living.............. No wonder they have gone senile and of course the majority of posters on this thread think its good
