  1. I stopped buying traditional chocolate bars when I realised I could buy a brick of chocolate for just 30p in Aldi
  2. I'm really intrigued as to what these 60 years have actually spend their capital repayment money on... ...is this why I can't afford to buy my sticks in a vase from John Lewis, yet they can?
  3. The vendors are idiots / desperate / Express readers* (delete as required). * Same as the first option perhaps?
  4. Quick, offer full price everyone! There has never been a better time to get on the ladder...
  5. Haha, I was thinking the same BTW, heating won't come on here until it's too cold with a wooly jumper on.
  6. BTW, I laughed out loud when I heard the figures on the radio this morning. Ridiculous.
  7. Amazing I only needed to watch the first 1 min 35 secs, but watched the whole thing anyway...just in case Lost concentration a bit mind.
  8. She clearly can't afford it because she can't budget / is under some sort of illusion that she can live a lifestyle beyond which buying a house in her position allows. But I get your point
  9. People like this, who clearly couldn't afford a property in the first place, just make me angry and tired. And hungry.
  10. Cringe-worthy stuff. She clearly knows nothing about the business she was running!
  11. OMG, the first two callers are frightening enough! First caller wants to borrow 224k over 9 years with a salary of £39k Second caller has THREE mortgages, with both mortgage holders being self employed
  12. 2006 prices appear to be the norm in Southampton (certainly for houses in the areas I'm looking in), so you did OK there. As a buyer, it's very frustrating. Particularly for the really nice houses (which tend to be priced at 2007 levels), where people are still offering the full asking price immediately.
  13. Merv will deliver the money on horseback as he can't afford the helicopters. Simples
  14. Haha, brilliant! Remember that one of the engines was still blasting away even after the plane crashed though
  15. To be fair, the size of that 3rd bedroom (aka "the box room") is perfectly normal for a newer property!
  16. That is really quite embarrassing if they have mew'd it up the wall that badly. Even worse if they can't understand why they're now in this predicament
  17. Looks the one to me, great find I made the mistake of starting my Rightmove search at 110k...omg there's a huge number of 2/3 bed semis for sale up that way for bugger all. No wonder they can't shift it. If only prices were that low down here (Southampton)...
  18. Wasn't it County Durham? Couldn't quite hear over my own shouting
  19. Something to do with steps on ladders, according to the presenter.
  20. The other cracker was from the couple with the depreciating starter home. "Something has gone seriously wrong". What, like you paid way too much for a shoebox house you couldn't afford, and then popped too many sproggs out? Hmm.
  21. I loved the stuff from the couple who have just "purchased" a newbuy house, whilst renting out their old property...waiting for its value to increase again. Er... The boomer was good too. If she's been there 19 years, why does she need to get so much back? Has she been MEWing?
