Another part of the problem is that the knowledge simply isn't there in the first place as the use of forums diminishes. Car forums used to be a wealth of information when it came to troubleshooting issues as someone else invariably would have previously had the same issue and the fix would be posted which was usually better (quicker) than the workshop manual. These days instead of making conscise posts on a forum people will just post on member only Facebook car specific groups asking a question giving very little info on the problem eg 'my eml light is on what's wrong?' and expecting an instant answer when they haven't even given the eml trouble code. All this isn't crawled by Google so you end up with posts from a few years ago when forums were still the goto place and invariably the page will be missing most the images due to expired hosting or photobucket which culled/blurred their hotlinked photos a couple if years back.

The seller can always break for parts, did that with my old bike after no genuine interest and got more for it than it cost new two years before.

I know someone who worked for Harris Academy for a short period and he had to go through the agency to get paid and they used one of these schemes, only know about it as I caught up with him at Christmas and he had the HRMC on his back about it. I think it's unfair to penalise low paid workers who had no choice but accept the agencies terms compared to contractors on £500+ per day who willingly chose this scheme to keep under the 40% tax bracket.

The person giving the presentation was spouting bs, there's a minimum weight limit of 6.8kg set by the UCI for competition bikes so it would make no sense for Sky to shave bolts or use thinner paints as bikes are already bang on the limit. It's an outdated archaic safety rule from years back in the era of steel frame which means that even the mid range carbon bikes you can buy straight out of the showroom today are too light to use in competition. Back ontopic I wouldn't consider a new build unless it was built by a smaller company and they allowed you to do spot checks on the progress or be onboard with the construction a bit like in that Grand Designs programs.

My Nan took out one of these (unknown to the rest of the family) amount taken out was under a hundred and now she's gone into a home the outstanding balance is over 300k, the interest rate charged on it is over 7% which compared to the base rate is completely unacceptable in my opinion.

I lived in Plymouth a decade ago for a couple of years on Mutley Plains, the locals (Janners) really hated the students as they made a load of noise and the students hated the locals as they were often accosted by them on nights out. Coming from London I was amazed that back then you could get a five bed house for £65k, dunno how much they cost today. The whole of Plymouth isn't that great really, go up union street when the Navies for various different countries docked at the same time and it was like a warzone with paramilitary police breaking up fights with truncheons.

I think it's a good idea to have the correct documentation, I've rented too many times where the neighbours are unemployed DSS keeping me up at night with their antisocial behaviour. I don't see why I should have to pay £1k+ per month and have a next door neighbour that pays next to nothing.

Lots of people don't consider games value for money these days, paying £45 for a few hours of entertainment in front of the telly is a past time that's in decline, kids have tablets and online/social media to keep themselves amused so in the same room multiplayer doesn't hold the same appeal. Game are screwed as those with disposal income (30/40 year olds) are buying direct from manufacturers/publishers online these days for both software and now hardware. Those who are spending on the next gen this year are spending on virtual reality which is very expensive and atm PC only. You can buy a second hand car for the price of a decent vr set up HTC vive is £600 and a decent rig to run it is another grand, I don't think Game will get a look in, especially now that the console life cycle seems to be extended.

I went to plymouth uni a decade ago and had the choice in the first year of living in the university first year student flats which were tiny, expensive and opposite a massive police station or paying less than a third of the rent to live in a 5 bedroom house which was around a ten minute walk away from uni..... After drinking I always had people back to mine due to the noise limits and smoking rules. Most students couldn't wait to get away from the university accommodation due to a combination being micromanaged and tiny rooms/communal areas. The second year I lived in a place called mutley which was about 10-15 minutes walk away from uni and the rent was £60 per week while the student flats nearer were £150+ a week for the same size rooms.
