  1. Maybe they could flog some of the btl portfolios they've funded, that'll raise some cash.
  2. Im sure i've mentioned in the past that I have noticed quiet a lot of cheap sales going through land reg, but I'm pretty certain these properties wont be offered to the likes of you and I. Either that or it may be those companies targeting people who want to sell up quickly etc...
  3. It is getting a bit quiet in here isnt it, for me it's becoming the lack of interest and things to talk about, doesnt seem to be an awful lot happening round here at the mo, not that ive noticed anyway. I still take a look through rightmove here and there but not with the same interest that I used to. Think im verging on giving up bothering to look for somewhere to live!
  4. I didnt realise that was the case with the other house - so did that house sell with the falling bolders problem?
  5. Speculative guess on this one....... http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-38136161.html http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/9787512.Poole_cannabis_factory_grower_jailed_for_32_months/ Funny how the story comes out on the same day as the auction.
  6. Just look at that lovely view that £385k will get you
  7. With 6 kids, few of them disabled & being a widow/single parent = quite a lot in state benefits + some income from her work at a guess.
  8. Hilarious there's no shortage of mugs buying round this way!
  9. Looking on property bee, there are so many properties that are sstc then become available again a month later - my theory for this was exactly as per your story!
  10. Don't developers have to pay the section 106 charges to the council which is for new public areas? Public highways etc. I'm not too familiar with it so feel free to correct me if im wrong.
  11. Its all the peasants fault they just wont work 23 hour days and eat gruel, they expect to be paid as well as being giving something to do and somewhere to sit during the week... bad peasants!
  12. What a couple of greedy chumps, although I have a funny feeling there will be more of these kind of liar loan stories etc to come! I wonder where they got that building land from anyway? It looks like the sort of piece of land that say the National Trust or council would own? I dont know the area.
  13. Forget about those offshore billionnaires, get your pitchforks out and chase those pesky taxi drivers for a tenner,,,,, gees
  14. No-one wanted to accept responsibility for the error! Could have ruined their bosses portfolios1 (presuming)
  15. Ok which one of you mis-behaving members does the web edits for DM? Wonder if some-ones just been fired at Daily Mail HQ?
  16. Maybe I'll go and offer £240k for a laugh then pull out You would think a property guru would renew the lease though as this still makes its very unattractive? (well it does to me anyway)
  17. Looks like mugs are buying in Ferndown at the moment, if these agents are to be believed! http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-33476359.html refer to PB history
  18. That sums up life in Bournemouth perfectly - time to look elsewhere i think.
  19. yes it is the Palace Road one So the sale didn't go through then - Phil's prgramme is rubbish then
  20. Your right there isnt much new money created round here. This topic has already been covered.http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=178203 - This is what I wrote about Bournemouth Last time............ Tell me about it! Ive lived in Bournemouth all my life and cannot afford a thing. Neither can most who were too young to buy prior to 2000. From reading EA listings of whats up for sale they frequently sound like they are trying to attract buyers from other areas, such as London as they know full well that no-one who lives and works round here can afford these prices. Ok so you go by the beach and through the gardens and Bournemouth looks lovely, anywhere else in the town is starting to become an over-crowded, over-built sh*t hole. Poverty is becoming rife (certainly is where I live) when once it was an average family area. Rented accomodation absolutely satuates most of the area. There is no industry in bournemouth other than tourism where minimum wage is the norm. Surely you'd think that these prices cant be sustainable.
  21. Is that the one that decided after not selling for 8 months at £240k the way forward was to up the price to £250k? Some divvi gave her £245k they said - whether that actually went through, who knows
