endgame replied to Tokyo_Expat's topic in House prices and the economy
Ah, maybe Americans have been cleverly doing this in preparation for their immanent demise. Explains their obesity or is it that they are plain greedy? -

Ive stocked up on tinned food, diesel, ag&au and cash. Some time ago I was going round tesco late in the evening with a trolley load of value tinned food, when I bumped into my bosses wife. She asked what on earth was I buying all that tinned food for. I thought for a second (mushroom clouds, riots etc) and replied "Im having a party, you want to come?" She said no thanks and scuttled off on her way. LOL -

I do sympathize with you people who are worrying about their money in Icelandic banks. But which banks are next? Where is a safe place to transfer your savings? Can the government keep this up? cgnao said this would happen and warned on every occasion to protect yourselves. You know how to do it. Exchange the fake money for real money before its too late. Look at the markets. Has confidence returned? Dow at 8800. Gold going ballistic now.

Uk Council's Icelandic Banks....oh Dear!
endgame replied to FernandoMorientes's topic in House prices and the economy
Bottom line is that we the people had to go out to work for that money that the bankers have spunked. Councils will be increasing the council tax to make us pay for it again out of our time spent at work. I for one will not be paying for it. Its our money not the councils. -

You don't have to read this thread. It was started by Errol, so you could have thought "ah, that threads by Errol the gold bug-I get all upset with anything gold, so I will look at some other thread about loo rolls or frozen food shops going bust instead" Rather you are attracted like a magnet to any gold talk!! -
