Returning Soldiers Being Offered Shared Equity Homes

....the Soldiers should have the option of assistance with renting or buying ...having the choice would make sense.... <_<

Soldiers are to be offered interest-free Government loans to help them get a foot on the housing ladder.

Service personnel living in military accommodation will for the first time be allowed to apply for shared equity loans so they can afford to buy a new home.

It wouldn't be the first time our armed forces had been set up for a fall

....agreed ....if the Government do not offer them the choice between buying or rental assistance outside of the barracks, the Government , themselves, could be seen as backing misselling in the event of equity losses.... <_<

soldiers should. its owed to them by the people. they shouldnt have to pay the community charge for the rest of their lives.

The Scheme referred to is LSAP, and is a joke. we are talking 6K towards home purchase, a pound over and you ae charged a punitave rate as a result of it being classed a "Perk". The Government are doing this, I believe, so they can end Families married quaters on bases, as they are becoming prohibitavly expensive... Lets face it, typical labour spin...

This is no different to asking a pay advance from your work and slowly paying it back, and is spun as a "perk" forthe armed forces, which is complete crap... Fact is Labour HATE the armed forces, they dont understand us, and we will be at the bottom of the Sh*t heap when budgetary cuts are revealled.

Well, I'm glad you're clear about that. I thought you were all still having doubts about why they keep trying to get you killed.:ph34r:

I'm hoping the armed forces will take sides with joe public if the streets go up in flames to remove our dictators and not to sit by and let foriegn forces be used to supress the peoples decisions.

i have family in the services and they will not behave like our police who have become stealth tax collectors.

it's not a question of labour hating you it's more a case of fear as you are organised and could one day hold the balance of power and thats why your numbers in the UK are kept so low and don't forget your duty is to the country and not towards power hungry corupt politicians.
