OLDFTB
If you instructed Standard Life to sell your share entitlement (you needed to tick the right boxes and return a form before flotation) then your cheque will be in the post soon. You may find you need more than 908 shares to take the kids to Florida. You are right ianbe, 908 shares on their own were not enough, but all i had to do was add the £1500 to it that i was going to spend on a Spanish holiday and it worked out nicely. Golden Shower
........have sold my 908 shares! I did instruct them to but....how do i find out? According to Yahoo the current price is 257p on July 14th when this was posted the closing price was 239p therefore; 908*2.39=£2,170 908*2.57=£2,333 You're out of pocket by £163 in other words it has increased by about 7.5% since your selling point! Never mind, eh?
Casual Observer
I think it's worse than that. I believe members who took the cash immediately had their shares priced at 230p. More like £245 down on the current price. There's also around 5% annual dividend expected. And bonus shares if you'd hung onto them.
Time to raise petrol prices
Surely you must have been expecting some volatility from a new IPO?

Guest muttley
You're out of pocket by £163 in other words it has increased by about 7.5% since your selling point! Actually, OldFTB, I reckon you are up by....let's see... 908*2.39=£2,170 - 0 ...errr. £2,170!!
dog
........have sold my 908 shares! I did instruct them to but....how do i find out? Find out how many shares have been issued. Then write to all the shareholders and ask them how many shares they hold. Subtract the second number from the first number. If there is a difference of 908, you shares havn't been sold yet. Casual Observer
Apologies in advance to CO for accidental use of the word 'sheeple'. I should think so too! BTW I notice you've failed to remind a number of posters about the requirement to post the IMHO acronym every time they express an opinion. Come on now, I'm looking to you to be more even-handed! crash-and-burn
Sold mine straight away, although I didn't have nearly so many, but my computer died yesterday, so it was a useful supply of revenue.
pooh
I take it when Standard Life goes into the FTSE on Wednesday the share price will go up again.

Golden Shower
Did you keep yours, GS? Yes, I still have mine. Along with my pension strategy, I'll hold until we get some sort of repeat of dot.com thing and alarm bells start ringing or someone tries to take them over. I read a bank put a tragt of 280p on SL the other day. Can't remember who though.

Golden Shower
I've not received anything after sending off my cheque has anyone yet received there allocations etc Not had anything since the float, but I'm not in a hurry to sell. Try the SL web site, there's a a link to the share dealing web site and contact details stating pretty much what you need to know. They're usual a friendly, helpful bunch their so I'm certain they can help you.
