Translation: You can keep printing money boys, cos i'll tame inflation by getting even cheaper goods imported from China!

"David Cameron has promised to create a "partnership for growth and reform" as he visits China on a trade mission with more than 100 UK business leaders.

The prime minister also pledged to put his "full political weight" behind a proposed agreement to free up trading between China and the European Union.

He is due to hold talks with premier Li Keqiang on a separate China-UK deal said to be worth £1.8bn a year.

Some EU states fear a flood of cheap imports if a wider pact is approved."

David Cameron has promised to create a "partnership for growth and reform"

That's exactly what he promised for the UK before the 2010 general election.

It didn't work for the UK either.

Osborne was in China just a few weeks ago so it sounds as if Dave's had to go there to try to clear things up. He'll probably leave an even worse mess after his jolly.

Meanwhile, Labour leader Ed Miliband is to warn the government not to compete with China in a "race to the bottom" on pay, but to focus on creating a "high-skill, high-tech, high-wage" economy.

:lol::lol:

Just like Labour? He's having a laugh isn't he. He'll be using expressions like "white heat of technology" next while concentrating on inflating another housing bubble.

How can there be any more? Everything is already cheap (to those at the top of the corporatist state structures) crap made in China. At one time the poor quality goods from china used to be cheap for the consumer as well but now they're full ticket price for rubbish as well.

I don't see how you can squeeze any more in dave. I think you might be a nob and are letting them hoodwink you into making their silent invasion easier.

How Jolly,

Some companies gain no doubt, some individuals too, will the country gain overall or is it another sellout.

PM and cronies off to charm China: Party of 131 includes his father-in-law, a neighbour, an ex-soccer star - and the man who gave the world Big Brother

David Cameron is heading a trade delegation of 131 business reps to China

The representatives include vice-chairman of West Ham United Karren Brady and former England footballer Graeme Le Saux

But some delegates have a closer personal link to the Prime Minister

Viscount Astor, the stepfather of the Prime Minister's wife, is on the trip

Tory donor Howard Leigh and Lord Chadlington are also included

According to Nick Robinson

http://

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-25180438

David Cameron's message about the UK as he lands here is clear: "No country in the Western world is more open to Chinese investment, more able to meet the demands of Chinese consumers, or more willing to make the case for economic openness."

Dave's message sounds a load of glib ******* as usual.

His promise now to "respect" and "understand" China is the price he has had to pay to thaw what was a diplomatic deep freeze.

Oh come on - so far as the economy is concerned there's never been a freeze on selling the UK down the river.

and they flew in a Virgin Atlantic plane. Virgin - just another bank offering UK savers dismal interest rates.

Interest rate levels that indicate how utterly devastated the UK economy is. That and the others on the jolly don't represent anything other than the economy being on its knees.

If Dave thinks he's in a position to give advice on how to run an economy then dream on.

Mr Cameron said: "I hope that by advancing and extending our bilateral trade, by working together on the global issues that affect us all and by maintaining an honest and open dialogue, my visit to China can plant the seeds of a long-term relationship which will benefit China, Britain and the world for generations to come."

It's to be hoped they have better luck than the promise made to the UK people on that.

In a speech on Monday, Labour leader Ed Miliband will tell staff at the VW National Training Centre in Milton Keynes: "The only way we can compete with China - and the only way Britain can win - is by winning a race to the top.

Isn't VW still a German company.

During the first day of his second trip to China as prime minister, he is scheduled to attend the official opening of a new academy in Beijing for training technicians, salesmen and service staff for Jaguar Land Rover, which is signing a £4.5bn agreement to provide 100,000 cars to the National Sales Company over the next year.

Owned by Tata an Indian company.
