Technically, we had the death penalty for treason until it was repealed in 1998 - around the same time as, it might be said, the treasury were complicit in large-scale fraudulent debasement of the currency by withdrawing the role of the BoE for operational oversight of banks... which, I guess, technically, could be described as treason. The last Labour government deliberately operated of policy of lax immigration to change the demographics of Britain for political reasons (now admitted). Also treason. I believe that definition of treason is correct. trying to subvert or harm the country by either violence or political/economic means.....yes I would say we have had quite a few people in ALL of these spheres who stand guilty....quite a lot seem to be sitting in the houses of parliament,alongside their stooges in big business/media.
