I would quite like to be on holiday with my kids somewhere warm when it happens

Who knows.

I'm noticing increasing numbers of people talking about trouble starting in Sept/Oct. Make of it what you will.

Is that only on here?

And is that because of the mysterious man on train thread in off topic?

Well it's already August, so that is tantamount to saying "trouble begins as soon as people get back from their holidays, and realise their company/country is in trouble"

Don't pay too much attention to the tin foil hatters on here.

No. Not just on here.

I just had a look on Google trends and it seems that searches for "Economic Depression" have surged in the past month also.

US Search.

I find Google trends to be an interesting indicator of the general mood. The mood is becoming more ominous.

World Search.

yeh because nothing of note happened in september last year did it.

Didn't affect me or anyone I know though. Just carried on as normal. No collapse, no social unrest, no nothing of any real note that effects the layman.

Smart answer but fundamentally flawed.

:ph34r:Not too far off But it is the Daily Mail.

PR to remind us all how great our gov are.

I don't buy it. But I am the other end of the scale to the doomsters on here. Control via fear is the aim of the day.
