So they get £170 a day for just turning up siging in for 5 mins and buggering off again, so for 150 days which is average, thats £25,500, £2500 more than they get now. However, notice that it says, that under this new £170 rule, they would not have to show ANY receipts or expenses for that money. (did they think we would not notice that new scam) So basically, its get the money twice for the same job and not have to explain where you spent it. They know easter time is a very busy house buying period, people feel good about the weather, time off and people have time off to go house hunt, my guess is they were ramping it up for the easter break but give it a week and it'll look like a soggy wet fish again.
