Nobody I know is house hunting. Nobody I know (ftb at least) can afford a house. I know plenty of people who have lost their jobs, although I don't yet know anyone who has lost their home. People aren't happy either. They're miserable and are sick of work and sick of this "stinking country".

To answer the OP, yes I do hope so. And it's my quest to conjur up a new word or phrase that will be used in everyday language by the British population too. It'll be as popular as the likes of "sent to Coventry", "credit crunch" and "sheeple" At the moment, "Gordon-esque" is the best I can come up with. It's used to describe something that is uttely abhorrent, ugly and useless.
