  3. So many fail to see and realise the next 30yrs will be nothing like the last 30. Expect a lot of breakdowns and mental health issues.
  4. I disagree people are used to the 5%. Far from it. Many still think we are going back to ‘normal’ 0.5%
  5. A dreadful concept from a dreadful government. If anyone thinks this will curb immigration I have a bridge to sell them.
  6. *POP* ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
  7. I did it for a few years. I can’t say it was easy. I lived life VERY frugally, sometimes literally counting out the pennies for my last meal of the week until my next giro arrived. I didn’t sit on my arse though, I used the time to build my art, craft and skills as I recognised I was lucky enough to be blessed with a talent. I realised this needed the time and dedication to develop that working a low paid job for many hours at that time would not allow. I would say I have paid back much more in taxes through my career than I ever would in any other job I might have ended up in. I’m sure the Daily Mail would have called me a lazy b@stard back then but I’m much more of one now 🥳
  8. People often refer to this particular forum and I still have no idea what it is?
  9. One should never be afraid to take a few chips off of the table, same for any investment, you can always the reinvest if the price takes a large dump. As long as you have a core holding for the potential of a SHTF scenario then you’re covered.
  10. There is lots of gas coming from Stewy. I do think he is an antagonist bot set up by the owners of the site to drive engagement.
  11. I doubt the average Russian will see any prosperity from a growing economy.
  12. When Central banks were jawboning 'Transitory blah blah blah...' they should have been jackeing rates to 8-10%. History shows that once inflation is entrenched it is a very tricky customer. We are where we are. Lots of pain for all (but mostly debt holders).
  13. Thanks, I’ll put it with my Jim’ll Fix It badge.
  14. BBC website headline. Inflation drops due to cheaper meat and crumpets. Crumpets? Wtf? Is it the 1940s?
  15. Just an Israeli drone strike on a play area in a refugee zone in Gaza, 11 kids dead + more injured. Nothing to see here.
  16. Well he’s fcked either way, so looks like he’s going to take the state of Israel down along with him.
  17. Shame so many innocents are involved. If both Israeli and Iranian regimes were somehow wiped out in isolation, I would be cool with that.
  18. I used BVault for trading the G/S ratio for a bit, much easier than the faff of physical for such things, got spooked after the US banking thing last year and pulled funds out. At the end of the day if there is some sort of financial catastrophe I wouldn’t expect my allocated metal to be there despite however many assurances.
