  1. Exactly and they won't be Tory until every minister, senior or junior, who has held office since 2010 has permanently left the chamber.
  2. So that was a success for the Tory machine. Voter (you) in favour but unaffected. Child vaper affected but has no voice. QED
  3. At the moment they're being careful not to upset anyone who can vote, so their law and order agenda is being aimed at children. Bringing in new laws and ordering children not to vape or take their phones to school.
  4. Given a straight choice between Sunak and Starmer I'd go for Starmer, without a shadow of a doubt, but tactical voting against the Tories would give us a chance of having something different... and a chance of re-joining the EU.
  5. We do have a choice and that is to vote tactically against the Tories, which would spread the ex Tory vote around the other parties. As for Blair, the Tories ran with his authoritarian policies when they came to power in 2010 and will continue to do so until they're kicked out.
  6. The ideal scenario would be for Farage to join the Tories, Labour to win with a landslide followed by us re-joining the EU.
  7. That depends. I did really well out of renting for 12 years, with money in the bank to the value of the house I was renting, more that covering the rent.
  8. I had loads of money in Northern Rock, best bank ever. From memory they were paying over 7% interest with 100% Treasury guarantee, no silly £80k limit. Those were the days .
  9. Thinking about it, the game changer would be some form of direct democracy to keep them on their toes throughout their elected term, not just the last months before an election.
  10. His sole intention is to try and win votes for his "flavour of the month" leader. Yes, they all do that but Gove is more obvious than most. Any policy that garners votes for Sunak is, by definition, bad.
  11. GB News presenters are often blatantly pro Tory. One, the other night, said something like. . "If, like me, you don't want Starmer in No 10". It can be entertaining but a "News" channel it isn't and shouldn't be allowed to pose as one.
  12. Sometimes the Tories have the luck of the devil. Alexei Navalny's death in a Russian prison has knocked everything else off the TV news channels.
  13. It can work though. Having owned for thirty years, we spent the first ten years of our retirement renting (return on capital was considerably more than rent) before buying a small, easily maintained, house in 2017.
  14. Perhaps you should change your name to "R. Cranium".
