Lot 58, I knew someone that ran this for a while. The upstairs is gutted and after it shut someone broke in and stole all the copper piping under the floor.

It was forced to shut after some of the locals came in and threatened the girls that were running it. It was rumoured that it was the Muslims in the area who didn't like a pub next door to the mosque. On the other side of the street is a Sikh temple.

Bit of a shame because there are working class people in the area that needed a second local drinking whole.

I am interested to know if any houses or land are for Auction in the Aylesbury area and googled it but didn't get great results. Is there some kind of rightmove like property Auction site that can notify you? I wouldn't mind paying a small fee if the site was good.

Hi Mark,

I normally rely on this site for information on upcoming auctions. I only knew about today's one, as there was a house close to me that was listed in the order of sale. The Rightmove listing told me the date of the auction and the auctioneer, I then found a link to the live auction through the auctioneer's website.

Have seen some of M21er's updates, and only wish that I was half as good. Best I could do was jot down the prices as they came in, while trying to do my day-job at the same time; I just didn't have the time to look up all of the previous sale prices that M21er automatically catches.

I lived in Docklands once upon a time.

When I left 10 years ago there used to be a great pub tucked away out of sight in Blackwall Lane opposite this huge empty site where the Aurora building is now.

Suppose the pub is now all trendy or gone altogether.
