We will look to live in near Aukland where prices seem to be holding firm (and are quite a bit higher than the south island obviously). I find "trade me" quite a useful way to look at property.

Where is old Blubbypants when you need him? He recently sold his 8 or 10 Hong Kong properties. Property in Hong Kong has recently (in the last 6 months) returned to its highest peak. Theres a mother of crashes waiting to happen right here. Now is not the time to invest in Hong Kong property.

Anyone Expecting To See Big Reductions Now That The New Year Is Here? No. Banks wont create a glut of properties by repossessing. Interest rates wont move much if at all. Unemployment figures will continue to be fudged. All I see is stagnation.

Liar loans will continue until the banks feel they have recovered or they blow up.
