  1. A meaningless small rise in the interest rate (if one appears) coupled with little increase in the jobless figures means the chances of a HPC are even more remote.
  2. Can I find out the selling prices from the local councils? or only through Quotable Value?
  3. We will look to live in near Aukland where prices seem to be holding firm (and are quite a bit higher than the south island obviously). I find "trade me" quite a useful way to look at property.
  4. Its OK they come down in price quite quickly!
  5. yes i am selling up in Hong Kong this year (2011) and will buy in NZ maybe 2012 or 2013
  6. old blubbypants used to swear by the builders shares prices being a lead indicator for future house prices. I never thought this to be true, but how are these shares doing?
  7. Where is old Blubbypants when you need him? He recently sold his 8 or 10 Hong Kong properties. Property in Hong Kong has recently (in the last 6 months) returned to its highest peak. Theres a mother of crashes waiting to happen right here. Now is not the time to invest in Hong Kong property.
  8. I dont understand the reference to Osama Bin Laden. Care to help (anyone)?
  9. Yes. There seem to be quite a few coming up on that search. Maybe they know something?
  10. I don't know, I think the industrial strength pink gloss paint adds a certain "something" to the damp patches!
  11. £260,000 in Tunnel Avenue, London SE10 http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-31116620.html Its on the approach road to the Blackwall Tunnel.
  12. Is this thread still alive? I keep hoping the mods will move it to the "Overseas property investment" forum.
  13. Bank of Mum and Dad still has money to burn. This could slow down a crash good and proper.
  14. Anyone Expecting To See Big Reductions Now That The New Year Is Here? No. Banks wont create a glut of properties by repossessing. Interest rates wont move much if at all. Unemployment figures will continue to be fudged. All I see is stagnation.
  15. have you got a problem with people telling it like it is?
  16. I dont see either of these changing much this year or next. = stagnant market
