Slumpmonkey Returns
To be expected I guess! Dear Slumpmonkey Thank you for your e-mail. We're sorry if you were concerned by the interview with Will Hutton during the edition of 'Newsnight' as broadcast on 8 September. There are generally fairly limited circumstances were we would feel it necessary to examine the role of an interviewee's spouse during the programme. In this case the discussion was not about the company Mr Hutton's wife's is involved with. Rather it was looking at the issues of intervention in the housing market in the United States and Government policy on the economy. Mr Hutton is a well respected journalist and was there to represent a view held by many- alternative views were well represented by other guests during the programme. Thank you again for taking the time to get in touch and for the feedback which we know the programme makers appreciated. Englebert
A bit like the other Hutton report - a whitewash. Will Hutton, let's face it is a bit like Gordan Brown - no one is arsed about him anymore.
Guest sillybear2
Dear BBC, Thank you for your e-mail (and 184 recorded letters). We're sorry if you were concerned by the lack of "payment" regards our "TV licence", especially in regards your BBC "News" service. There are generally fairly limited circumstances were we would feel it necessary to pay for your 'programming' because of its fecalicious nature. In this case your claims of balance and impartiality have been shown to be 'full of sh1t'. Rather you are now looking at the issues of intervention involving big burley "enforcers" trying to make an illegal incursion into our housing situation. You claim Big Gordon and Angry Will are respected 'heavies' and were there to represent a view held by many - especially those sitting in our local hospital ward having all suffered perimortem skeletal trauma, almost coincidentally. Thank you again for taking the time to get in touch, as grateful viewers it goes entirely unappreciated. Regards, Your loving viewers. DabHand
Will Hutton curled yet another one out in todays Observer. Apparently banks lack of regulation have been aided by right wing think tanks and conservative politicians. He says politicians and not "conservative ministers or the conservative government" because apparently someone else entirely blameless is in power. Anyone remember who it is?? Right, so who's been in power for the past 11 years again? This kind of sh1t just doesn't wash anymore. I suppose he now supports rent controls, given the outrageous 'market' rents charged by his wife? Just like Polly Toynbee, he's just another old, dired up, morally bankrupt, hypocritical champagne socialist setting rules for other people to live by, that don't apply to himself. I invited them round to 'spin a few records'. I doubt the 20 year old that got the response even knew what I was talking about.

Live Peasant
Don't be a silly Comrade. If contributing journos had to declare their interests, then you would destroy the party's ability to broadcast the socialist worker propaganda. I have replied to the director of PRAVDA and begged him to allow me to join the Komsomol as I am a good and loyal citizen.
@contradevian
Pravda were in full swing on tonights 10 pm news. Brown pledges to do better and is the right man for the job. All opinion, no actual news. Clips from the mighty leaders speech repeated without any critical analysis. Well of course, a couple of weeks ago we talked about that meeting of the BBC editors and bosses, they all agreed it's time to "go easy on the government" since they were doing so badly. The BBC is arrogant, they refuse to aknowledge the peoples' hatred of the government, they believe they have the power to keep their ZaNuLabour chums in office by broadcasting pure propaganda. They have decided to tie themselves to a sinking ship, I can only hope for their own sakes that they have considered the many possible outcomes of this.
