ingermany
BBC Breakfast with Bill and Sian. Main feature on a couple with a million pound house they can't sell who are trying to rafle it at 25 quid a ticket. So far have only sold 14 thousand tickets so they got a 7 minute slot on BBC with lots of photos of "this beautiful Property", "dream Home" lovingly described by Bill and Sian. ingermany
BBC Breakfast with Bill and Sian. So far have only sold 14 thousand tickets (350K) so they got a 7 minute slot on BBC with lots of photos of "this beautiful Property", "dream Home" lovingly described by Bill and Sian. A new low point for BBC news coverage. From BBC Breakfast website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/brea...ers/7537398.stm Tuesday 26 August # The Wilshaws Brian and Wendy Wilshaw are trying to raffle their house for one million pounds as they face retirement with no savings. For twenty five pounds you could have a chance of winning the house.

Ash4781
Why did promoted the raffle ? Follow the link if you want to buy tickets! dude wheres my house
They really were showing off the house, it was like a commercial. The couple seemed to have all the angles sewn up - if they dont sell enough tickets then it goes to a cash draw, minus their salaries for running it million pound house for a plumber!! General Melchett
Nice house, but why were the BBC running an advert feature on it, including details of how to buy a ticket. Surely this goes against their charter? Another couple who think the next generation owes them a fortune to fund their retirement dreams. Could be that it's BBC connections- the bloke looks like he's related to Jimmy Hill.
tosserspoter
If they reduced the price to a sensible level it would sell ! How foolish these people are. don't be silly -thet are giving us -poor folk- the opp. to buy this BBC promotion dream home. if they lower the price the 'value' will go down to po' folk levels and some po' folk will buy it an' their good neighbours just don't like po' folk seriously- i watched this BBC advert and the 'owners' of this particular millstone said just that-'we want to give others the chance......wot tossers they are 2 tickets plse
