Celebration, Celebration, Celebration! Kirstie Allsopp welcomes new baby boy

By Richard Kay

Last updated at 12:43 AM on 22nd August 2008

TV property queen Kirstie Allsopp is welcoming the latest arrival to her family - a 9lb 3oz son.

The new baby, born yesterday by caesarean section at St John's & St Elizabeth's Hospital in St John's Wood, joins Kirstie's first child, two-year-old Bay.

Kirstie admits that she and her partner, property developer Ben Andersen, who has two sons from a previous marriage, are struggling to come up with the right name.

Shall we help Kirsty and her other half with a name? :)

Apartment?

Trixabelle Stamp-Duty Enema?

Alistair?

Only joking, Kirstie .... we love you really :)

What next for the pious property porn queen? Ramping babies in a new C4 show? Ovulation, Ovulation, Ovulation? Menstruation, Menstruation, Menstruation?

After which surely comes the inevitable Contraction, Contraction, Contraction? - followed by a popping sound, lots of screaming and blood everywhere.

PS Any parallels between a property boom-and-bust and Krusty's pregnancy are entirely intentional.

I think this is a private hospital.

A friend of mine was advised to go private in London to have her baby by 'planned caesarian' so she could have the 'tummy tuck' done at the same time as the birth. She has told us this is how all the celebs can seem to magically lose all the weight immediately they give birth and then look marvellous just 2 months later on the red carpet at the Oscars. My friend was disgusted and refused to entertain the idea although she did use a private London hospital for a natural birth.

I emphasise that I am NOT suggesting that Kirsty had a caesarian for this reason. There are many life threatening situations such as pre-eclampsia, haemoraging or chord strangulation that require it.

BUT she is just the sort to do it for selfish reasons

This site used to have a lot of good debate between both sides a few years ago.

Now its just full of school like posts against people who we all (including myself) disagree with.

Theres no need to attack someone personally. Its pathetic and drags this site down week by week.

If Krustie wants to come on here and defend her new spivvy estate agent child then i'm sure they could arrange a laptop in the maternity ward for her.

Well she does go on national TV and spout a lot of nonsense.

I think she sould expect to take a bit of stick

But, fortunately there are not that many who would give her it.

How about E Bay. Or Bay Bay Boomer

I think the housing market is suffering all of these. Should we call 999?

I wasn't attacking her, or her child on personal level  . I wish her child all the best ... ;). Maybe I shouldn't become a stand-up comedian after all :(

On the contrary. Given the damage this individual has done by serving her own vested interests and the absence of rightly deserved criticism by public figures in or by the mainstream media, it would be remiss not to get personal. If you intend to claim the intellectual high ground and lament the supposed paucity of posts here perhaps you might further your case with with some fresh, incisive and enlightening analysis of your own.

If Kirstie Allsopp's father had been a plumber, a plumber's daughter she would be.
