Buy-to-let Landlords 'must Help Disabled’

Recommended Posts

It's only fair that the mentally disabled should help the physically disabled.

:lol::lol::lol:

I bet you this will end up only applying to 5 bed plus bungalows, in Manchester, in cul-de-sacs. Just like HIPs, which are bound to get shelved totally soon. Ruth Kelly said today that they have underestimated the number of nrg inspectors needed. Actually need 3k, not 2k. Just buttering us up for shelving totally.

Beautiful!!! :lol::lol::lol:

I'm all for care in the community,but BTL are what could be deemed dangerous sociopaths and as such should be incarcerated in a big,secure HMO with padded magnolia walls and coded exit system to protect the public.

If landlords are to look at meeting the needs of disabled people both physically and mentally disabled then the costs of this will be met by whom ?

The landlords - No - This would hurt the bottom line and therefore rents would increase.

The tenants - No - They would not move in to a property that did not meet their needs.

The taxpayer - Yes - Grants would possibly be made available by housing benefit teams to pay the rent of prospective disabled persons, so they can take on these properties.

As a taxpayer would you support this policy ?

An aging population needs more accomadation suitable for older people. This might mean ramps, grab rails, bathroom fixtures

Should only homeowning oaps be entitled to these?

Who should pay?
