dogbox
Ive long been fascinated by the eternal pessimist. In some ways I am one myself. I want help to define what shape an eternal pessimist takes. Here's my quick thumbnail list of traits, please add to it; * He considers himself a realsist not a pessimist * Yesterday was always better * Debt is folly and never a tool to be exploited * He enjoys others misfortune on some level * People who suceed from risk taking start of as 'fools' but upon achieving sucess become 'lucky' * They love trawling for high interest accounts * Anything new is unworthy * The Potatoe is a great 'Brittish' icon , yet when thier pessimistic great grandfather first encountered one it was 'FORRING MUCK' * Thier world is fixed in aspic. Nothing can change surely? EG Poles wont become as rich as Brits, they will surely remain swarthy peasants ready to steal hard earned cash * Business ventures are ALWAYS a bad idea - nothing new is possible * UK plc is always about to go down the pan (will be the same in a billion years) * Analysis they excell at, but this causes paralysis

Are they optimists or pessimists? Think they were optimists when they bought VVT8, becoming pessimists now they've seen VVT6, and could achieve doom monger status by the time the Spanish crash has run its course & VVT1 is selling at prevailing market rates.
