Aghh.
Chrome keeps crashing. no idea why.

Son said uninstall and reinstall. I did and it still crashes.

He said try warsomething or other but I can't remember now what he said. Husband said chromium but he's never tried it.

Agghhh.

I've got opera but I like to have two browsers open for doing stuff in.

Suggestions?

Are you on a 64 bit computer running the 32 bit version of Chrome by any chance? If so, you need uninstall it and google the 64 bit version - Google makes it a bit difficult to find the 64 bit version. Not sure if it still is in beta.

Erm.

I am apparently on a 64 bit thingy.

Version Version 45.0.2454.93 m of Chrome is 32 bit.

You may have it sussed!

Use chrome and google will be selling your lifestyle habits to all and sundry.

Tor Slow but secure

Pale Moon

Firefox with the relevant addons.

Opera

IE

I have all of these installed (inc chrome) and use them all for various tasks..

Just nuke the site from orbit.

I can't stand windows at times. My solution to any friend or family member when faced with an unexpected glitch is to wipe the thing and start again. Has the added bonus of getting rid of all the malware Norton/McAfee nonsense manufacturers insist on loading the OS with.

Update all your drivers and update to the latest windows updates. If that fails then you have a rogue app on you PC causing the crashes. Do you have adds-ons installed to the Chrome browser or some rogue toolbar installed?

Erm, no idea how to check all the drivers are up to date...

I don't have any add ons or toolbars apart from the rapport thing.

http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

It's best to uninstall chrome,or it fact almost anything, with Revo. The free version is fine. There's a problem with chrome generally atm, difficult to resolve.

Installing Canary resolved in for me on W7 64
