SuperChimp
A former police officer is one of five people who have been convicted of massive mortgage fraud worth £20m. The whole banking system is fraudulent. Only the state should have the power to create money.
Saving For a Space Ship
I can feel it.... Big red capital letters heading this way. LLANDUDNO LOANS ! £20 Million fraud & they get bail ?! All five were granted bail to await sentencing, under the condition that they surrender their passports and are subject to a curfew monitored by electronic tagging. geezer466
The Wife will get a suspended.. The Husband and other non professional conspirators will get 3 years.. The Surveyor and the Solicitor will get 5 years..... I assume as most properties existed then the lenders will have grabbed them back off setting any losses. Proceeds of crime should be taking any assets these people have to reimburse the lender losses.
Bloo Loo
The Banks are culpable in every case. whether its inflated values, inflated rents, whatever the outside officials posted, the banks didnt check themselves....on any occasion on hundreds of applications. course, mention that the bankers werent culpable for the boom during this period and they repeat all they ever did was sensible lending. This is the essence of Liar Loans.....the client, the broker, the agent, the banker, the bank....all LIED ALL got something out of the deal.
