Lbc - Get Over There Now...

Just managed to get on air live, within less than five minutes so no long boring wait. Obviously not that busy with calls on there.

Managed to get a question to a Treasury Minister, enquiring about the priorities of a government than invests £100m in new science funding, but £250m in suckering FTB's into a falling market - USING THEIR OWN TAX MONEY...

Couldn't believe my ears when Iain Dale (the presenter,) got stuck in and started accusing them of distorting the market, and suggesting they should leave it alone.

B@stard Minister managed to swerve around the point I raised, twice, about Shapps and Pickles' VI as shown up on TheyWorkForYou.com, and MP's with second properties having a VI in keeping the bubble inflated. But it was fun to get it in there a second time, as he ignored it first time round, so hopefully that will get the anti-Shapps message out there a bit wider.

Anyway, they don't seem to have too many callers on there this evening, where they are still discussing the budget, if anyone else wants to pick up the baton.

0845 6060973.

Best.

Well done. I heard it. You did well. He really had no justification for the policy did he other than..people want to buy...he seemed very hesitant to use the word "ladder", it slipped out only once. He knows this deposit thing won't help them when they want to move to a bigger place.

At the end Dale appeared to accuse you of working for a political party?

Thanks - I speak publicy for much of my living, but hate radio as it's like talking into a black hole. So frankly I was cacking myself.. Hope it didn't come across too much that way!

Anyway, he did, didn't he? And cut me off before I could respond.

I think that's the problem with the current "elite" - they think everything boils to party politics, rather than some people waking up to the fact we're being shafted, and not being prepared to take it quietly.

It was a shame he cut me off - I was about to point out that I've been a lifelong Conservative, but think this lot are the biggest shower of sh!t that have ever disgraced the party

Just shows how the media treat the people these days... if you come on air or write to a newspaper and sound like you're informed = party political assumption; if you sound like a pleb = uninformed peasant who should be ignored... the traditional "I have a mind of my own, and a good degree of knowledge and intelligence, and not tied to a party" class of people really have been smudged out of existence in this country, with terrible effects. Further, many journalists and authors used to come from that traditional pool of thought... not anymore it seems.

That's very true. The elite don't seem to appreciate that there are people out there who genuinely want fairness and competence within government, a position derived through awareness rather than any dogma. It's a great pity, as genuine debate is stifled, by some Ad Hominem irrelevance. Of course the irony is that there is no political party espousing your (the HPC/Common Sense) position.

Your avatar made me laugh.

I heard you, and was wondering if it was someone from here! You got some really good points in before they cut you off - rather abruptly I thought. Bit weird the presenter accused you of working for a political party, wonder what that was all about...?
