And the role of central bank monetary policy. spending on dead businesses is money down the drain. a business should be making money. if its not producing, its draining. And each every one draining, makes it a little bit harder for those that arent. Have enough drains, and no matter how "efficient" the producers, there will come a time when the drain is bigger than the producers can counter.....then there is no choice but to cull. The truth is that we read this and see it as an insult to our intelligence. But some people will swallow what he says. And that ladies and gentlemen is the whole point. I would guess his gym businesses are very susceptible to consumer confidence. He has the chance to appeal in a national newspaper to many thousands of people currently paying him £30 or £40 a month by direct debit for use of his Gyms. The fact is that because of his profile, he can do this in a national newspaper, he has access to his customers without any expense - probably even got paid for it! Thats quite clever really. The success of his ice cream vans came from securing the contract from Hartlepool council to sell in a local park during the summer months. He did this by simply outbidding all the other businesses.
