Guest UK Debt Slave
there's been some classics in the past but this is the most desperate yet Yes! You too can consign yourself to fiscal oblivion for the rest of eternity while politicians and bankers ram a flagpole up your a@sehole with the Union jack neatly folded upon it! the flying pig
You may well sneer but snotrags like this were at the absolute front line in the blowing up of the bubble... hundreds of thousands of people born in the 1950s and 1960s are in the position where they: (1) read this kind of shit; (2) have a reasonable amount of money in their pockets [well, building society accounts]; (3) are looking towards retirement & hoping for financial security; and (4) are uneducated/financially unsavvy to the extent that they're scared to invest money in stocks or whatever you and in many cases are stupid enough to believe this sort of rubbish. readers of this kind of crap played a key role in pushing up house prices in teh middle part of this decade. they are currently desperate to belive in HPI again... the flying pig
harrogate's property market is one of the most pathetic in the land, rental yields & affordability are strong contenders for being the lowest in the country even after prices having fallen by over 20% [selling prices, naturally - asking prices are as, ahem, healthy as ever]. dozens upon dozens of houses that have been listed for well over a year. Guest happy?
You may well sneer but snotrags like this were at the absolute front line in the blowing up of the bubble... are uneducated/financially unsavvy to the extent that they're scared to invest money in stocks.. You can't live in a share certificate. And the only people telling me that in the long-term stocks and share always outperform savings are VIs. Taxation in the UK from the 1950's to the 1990's was skewed in favour of house purchase. Perhaps some of these people weren't so stupid as you seem to think. the_austrian
Buy now while stocks last Perhaps sellers should hold out for higher prices?

You just reminded me that we used to have a local EA called SNOTRAG although for reasons I never understood they spelt it backwards.
