Guest anorthosite
One thing about Griffin is he is not scared of anything. He seems terrified of anyone with a different skin colour or accent. Think of the s**t he has been put through in the last few years. Most would have crumbled. Oooh, he's as brave as Gordon Brown Plus he is way to smart to slap a leftie or two which he could easily do(he was a boxer at Cambridge). Ooooh, he's as tough as John Prescott Those fools demonstrating are just gifting the BNP more votes. Don't worry, once he gets his press conference, those votes will disappear again
sharkbait
Whildst I think that you have a very valid point, let's not forget that Hitler told the Germans that THEY were under attack - from the Jews. I don't think we are under attack from the Blacks or Islam, insofar as it is what the ruling body of this country allows. Let's face it, when a spoiled kid tramples your flower beds and kicks your cat, who do you blame? I blame those who have led that person to believe they have unlimited licence, to do what is forbidden/censured for everyone else. +1 we must not forget that part of history, and most importantly repeat those, other wise there isa possibility of another berlin wall in london.... Guest anorthosite
I find the lack of respect for the democratic process alarming. What democratic process? This is Britain, we've never really had a decent one. Why is mention always made of his 'bodyguards'. Gordon Brown has them and nobody on the news says 'here is Gordon Brown flanked by his muscular bodyguards, probably packing heat'. They find a sinister angle on everything. No doubt the headline tomorrow will be 'Nick Griffin in Battery Eggs Probe' or 'BNP Leaders car damages protestors foot' I guess its because we see so many other party leaders out and about without gorillas flanking them. R K
I see Nick Griffin has been pelted with eggs and had his car kicked by 'anti fascist' demonstrators outside of parliament. How ironic its the anti fascists who are parading round now, chanting and suppressing freedom of movement and speech.Apparently it was a demonstration by 'Unite Against Fascism', which has Ken Livingstone as its head and is supported by many MPs and Unions. Seems democracy and free speech is only reserved for those who toe the line of those in charge. This must be what the MPs meant yesterday when they said they would 'silence the BNP' Indeed. I fear the Stalinists who are actually still running the country far more than I do the BNP. Even Gordon's own MPs tell us repeatedly how he and his henchmen bully, cajole, ridicule, threaten, sack, are sexist, msyoginist and so on. This, the supposedly democratically elected British PM. It was Labour socialist activists who were violent on Sunday evening. It is the Labour party who want to stifle all debate, who are set on surveillance, DNA ID, etc etc, stuff govt. with unelected Euro socialists like Kinnock and Mandelslime. There is no doubt at all in my mind that Griffin, but also Farage, will be continuosly provoked, smeared, bullied, financially attacked, and probably at some point even killed to prevent the socialists losing grip on their European project. I think it is far more likely that Griffin will be shot by an Islamic nutcase in Brussels that he would be here. It seems democracy is only permitted if you give the correct answer. As the Irish have found out over Lisbon.
GiantPanda
I find the lack of respect for the democratic process alarming. Let's get this straight as well, only 3% of the electorate in that area voted for him. Not what you'd call a majority, is it?

whiterabbit
Let's get this straight as well, only 3% of the electorate in that area voted for him. Not what you'd call a majority, is it? Actually it was 8.9% of the voters who turned out. I would have thought with all your love of minorites you would have wanted the 8.9% to have their concerns addressed without being attacked? Bob Loblaw
Let's get this straight as well, only 3% of the electorate in that area voted for him. Not what you'd call a majority, is it? This is you and I claim my £5: When did I say the BNP had a majority? He was elected fair and square in a democratic election. These people calling him a fascist need to look long and hard in the mirror. One aspect of Fascism is: Fascist governments forbid and suppress criticism and opposition to the government and the fascist movement

Kyoto
I find the lack of respect for the democratic process alarming. I also find it alarming that state funded groups suppressing free speech and being aggressive and violent towards elected representatives very worrying. Well said that man. Guest Skinty
Giant Panda! I am amazed to see you use anti-gay comments? In all fairness to Giant Panda here (s)he could have just as easily used "Wuss". It wasn't used as an attack on homosexuality. Nor is being a sissy the same as being gay. People just confuse the two.
