Why The Next Crash Will Snowball Very Quickly

Perhaps in this equation they have one eye on their retirement as a point in time to sell, perhaps even wait it out until they die and use the income as pension income?. -

Despair For First-time House Buyers
BrickingIt replied to Wouldliketobuy's topic in House prices and the economy
matey peeps. take this equation. 25 years repayment mortgage at 3.5 salary = my house. then take this equation. 40 years repayment mortgage at 4 salary = my house. then take this equation. IO mortgage at 4 salary = my house then take this equation. IO mortgage at 4x joint salary = my and girlfirends house then take this equation IO mortgage at 4x joint + bills salary = my and girlfriends + occasional threesome with bill house The house is constant by the way in all the above equations. -
Despair For First-time House Buyers

I think there is too much look at circa 95. This can be applied to anything (say shares in 2001) and what people must realise is an undervalued asset evaluation is not good. The question of whether today they are overvalued is more the point. -

WLTB i'm sure anyone reading this gets the picture. I'm not going to wade in here with a dig at you, I understand what you are saying. The point is 6 years ago houses were most likely undervalued, has there worth to an extent has been realised and consequently all this lets look back at the passed stuff really only shows you what you are missing out on. -

Not as well as Chantelle. -
Why didn't you just say 'do you think the BOE will engineer a soft landing'. Of course no one took your argument seriously, everyone thought the daft idiot is trying to pass the well quoted 'soft landing' off as a submarine analogy.

I haven't got a clue. Sorry. But if someone could help linus I would be very grateful as he asked so nicely on another thread. You lot on here, put away the conspiracy theory cobblers for an hour and get your laughing gear around this. I will consult the wise squirrel from the woods tomorrow if no one gets back to you. -
Hush puppy. Its no way to carry on all depressed etc. I've done economics (eight years), i've done financial (seven years), i've done me wad on buying crap long before now. In the last 15 years there was never a good time to buy a house. There will not be a good time in the next 15 years. If you sit there and seriously consider a 25 year commitment thats the way it goes. Do it, do it half sensibly, live with it, dont expect it to come easily. Its a life long decision for the majority. I love my house, its cool. The best financial decision ever, who knows. There is a squirral that comes visiting every morning to the garden, has his feed of the food I leave for him, and then goes back to the woods. The moral of the story. If the squirral thinks thats good, wait till I plonk him in the jacuzzi. Night, night peeps. Time for sleeps.

World Economy 'set For Good 2007'
BrickingIt replied to marzipan's topic in House prices and the economy
Flip a coin on that one. -
The credit tsunami?. HPC? the name of the site?. Dow collapse?. Birdy Flu?. Or was it just the collapse of civilisation as we know it?. Global economy - of course the little matter of the UKHPC is now a little subject and you've moved on to more bigger, more important 'global' matters. These are the things that now command your attention.

Bears Caught In The Headlights

I rather like it, prefer slick back on top, but hell win some lose some. Well you lot just lose some, really. -
A nation in rapid decline?. You call me a sad, lonely individual?. I just love this place, its so funny. Sometimes I swear they take seriously. But they just can't do. You cant call absolutely every single thing wrong for 4 years and still keep a straight face.

Double strength tissue time for the Bears. Although they are going for the 'look i've found a house thats fell in value, quick lets slap each other on the back and make a quick exit before any notices we were here'. Im now VI Troll. Well I own a home. Can someone do something with hair, looks like I went OTT with the shockwaves. VI Troll indeed. Cant even get that right. Can everyone pick six numbers for the lottery this week, the last six numbers remaining unpicked i'm betting on, sure fire winner.
