I know someone who works on HS2 it has been an absolute shambles from start to finish. The incentives are perverse. Everyone involved benefits/did benefit from HS2 taking as long as possible for as much cost as possible. It was and has been an absolute gravy train. I hate the Tories so much now, not just greed, incompetence, or spite. A pitful mix of them all. I also vow never to vote for them again. They are liars and in 13 years my income tax has only gone up despite years of austerity making us a backwards nation. Take out London and UK is poorer than Mississippi and poorer than most of Europe. We've been robbed.
