  1. Presumably buying on the way down to justify selling on the way up
  2. When I used to eat bread I quite liked some of their stuff. What don't you like about it? That fcks me off. I couldn't get hold of eggs for two weeks and for what? Karen to not eat them and chuck them out at their "best before" date. Cnt. The butcher told me that the binmen are seeing tons more food in the rubbish now. I despise the government, but if there are people who deserve fining and/or short jail stints, these people are them.
  3. And an eminent domain agreement so the rona personnel can use your place without your say. Nice. Another one we are looking at: 3 double bed with parking for 3 cars, a nice garden, a good lounge, very swish kitchen, 2.5 bathroom. WAS £1295 pcm NOW ONLY £1150 I was thinking of offering £1250 on a punt before, now I'm thinking maybe £1050. Or wait another month and see if they will take £900 When I viewed the place before the rona I enquired about the landlord's willingness to drop the rent, "No, it's new to the market; they won't drop it." I told them, "Sure, we will wait a bit then" I am torn though. I don't want to be turfed out when a distressed landlord has to sell up. I am also thinking that in a couple of months, lockdown will be lifted and other renters will be back in the market.
  4. A filled chest freezer should stay cold for a while, provided the temperature outside doesn't go too high and it isn't opened. btw I like your avatar
  5. It is dirty, but a bomb it ain't. How are you now? Did you get tested? Please be careful as apparently it can suddenly get worse and kill you. Does anyone else know you are sick and keep in regular contact?
  6. I have aid this for a long time. It is like doing dangerous things, like climbing. You eventually reach a point where you can go no further. You can either climb down, or you can cling on for as long as possible until your arms give out and you fall. Either way, you will reach the floor.
  7. "I am more concerned about the return of my money than the return on my money." "You're wise, eh? Well, what's the capital of Nebraska? What's the capital of the Chase National Bank?"
  8. The name AirBnB seems appropriate. There is nothing of substance there and it is gone with a stiff breeze.
  9. If they prevent it form having an effect, what was the point in doing it in the first place?
  10. WuFlu will have no effect on house prices. I am convinced that it is killing mostly people who would likely have died anyway. The small excess is not going to move the needle much. What it has done is brought the global economy, which like a shark requires constant movement and debt churn to survive, to a complete standstill. House prices were being driven by ever bigger mortgages. This is now over. Everyone is insolvent, they just do not know it yet. Expect multiple Fiat currencies to fail in the next 5 years. Ask yourself: what is the price of a Berlin townhouse in Reichsmarks?
  11. I was going to rent a house near Southampton. It was to be £1200 pcm, I offered £1150 and got accepted. Then this Chinese Flu struck and we couldn't move so had to pull out. It is now on for £1000 pcm
  12. Which are...? At the end of the day, all people need is food, a roof and clean water. Money printing in a low employment scenario drives those up. We have fixed clean water and there is vastly excessive housing here, especially with no one needing to be near any particular place of work now, so where will all that cash go? Bookmark this if you like. Food is going to the moon, housing & personal vehicles are going through the floor.
  13. I think it would be to your advantage to opt out of Sterling and purchase real assets. You understand that if the government is giving everyone £1k per month, that the money will very quickly be worth absolutely nothing? They have succeeded with a multitude of other currencies and far more primitive technology.
  14. Sure, but what does that matter when bread is twenty quid a loaf?
  15. People don't believe me yet, but I reckon many of us will be working in fields for food within 2 years.
  16. Actually, its value is based on the fact that you might get shot for not using it They simply reached the limit of the hyperviolence they could enact upon the population. Due to much higher worker productivity today, centralisation in cities, longer lifespans (more years of life on the table) and much more advanced weapons, the State can threaten and inflict much more violence and thus continue the charade for longer.
  17. Should be land of the fee-est It is certainly very confused.
  18. Yeah and my grandad was still 85% alive when he died of massive lung cancer so miracles do happen.
  19. So is whiskey, but it's 5 years in the slammer if you are caught making it. By which you mean "stashing it at home", right? Natch, they have a crony capitalist (i.e. Socialist) system where the government strictly control who is allowed to sell which medicine. On the other hand, President Donald J. Trump may well pull this one out of the bag.
  20. Yeah for sure. If it comes at the expense of full communism, then no thanks.
  21. They'll have to update HSE for a new hazard at work; Farmers are going to be drowning in pussy.
  22. It is interesting how the tolerant Left gleefully crows when they see things like this.
