"I've never missed a draw and tonight should be my lucky night, it could ruin Christmas if my numbers come in." said Mr Ward." 10. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article5376181.ece "A mother with four children has been placed by her council in a £2m townhouse at a cost to the taxpayer of more than £91,000 a year. The stucco-fronted three-storey property is in Kensington, west London, the country’s richest borough. It costs £1,755 a week to rent - a bill met by housing benefit - and has a front and back garden, five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a double reception room and roof terrace. The street is lined with sports cars. "
  11. http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/busi...icle5375478.ece "Hood refused to name specific store groups, but this weekend it emerged that The Officers Club, a 150-strong national menswear chain, had been put up for distressed sale through KPMG, while the specialist tea retailer, Whittards, and music store Zavvi remained on the critical list. " Who actually buys from officers club ? Always seems tat to me

  15. http://www.homemove.co.uk/news/18-12-2008/...00-in-2009.html "House repossessions will rise to 75,000 by the end of 2009. This would be an increase of 67% on the 2008 figure of 45,000 repossessions. The number of households more than three months behind with their repayments will reach 500,000 during the year. This gloomy prediction by the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) is seen as inevitable despite lenders and the government trying to reduce the negative impact of unemployment on borrowers. According to the CML, not all the eventual repossessions would involve homeowners being evicted from their properties. A significant number of these are likely to be cases where the property is abandoned or where property fraud has been perpetrated." Will this happen or will Gordo borrow more to bail homeowners out ?
