  1. HHmmmm! lets see...... 1) A few years of joy watching an innocent cute bundle of life gurgling and calling you dada 2) taking the kid out and playing with your child in the park 3) kid grows up, calls you every name under the sun 4) spends all your money 5) disrespects you 6) becomes a chav to blend in with the rest of his/her mates 7) leaves home leaving you to pick up the debts 8) asks for a deposit TO BUY A HOUSE! lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I'd think I'd opt for the errrr House!!!
  2. This is deadly serious! The losses are incredible......Can we just imagine this occuring over here? Why haven't we seen reports on the BEEB etc etc....afraid to cause panic? Hmmmmmm!
  3. Giving it a thought today, me being and posting on HPC.........in a way thinking about house prices and WHEN they will fall ............... What would I think of a forum like this and others who proclaim an almighty crash or be it soft landing(who knows) will occur..... tell you what, I wouldn't give a TOSS if I had a few properties and was living the life of riley and selling them making a tidy sum and yes, ok, I would be buying a BIGGER house for more than its worth but it would be a NICE house.... POINT I'm making is that I would be one of the many sheep caught in the trap and my mindset will not deter me from what I would probbaly call fantasists living in a dream world when my own world is cushy and safe....as I bought before the boom, my mortgage pmts are F*** all and I buy and sell as I please to get my dream place...... With news in the papers etc etc etc and items and "short" little bulletins it would NEVER enter my head that my "world" will be unsafe and pardon the pun, come crashing down on me.......... I would be like the many millions not batting an eyelid and not listening..... I'd tell people to buy and not leave it too late, I'd even tell them to mew!........ I'd dismiss forums like this as a dreamscape and losers who didn't buy at the right time or who were too busy trying to chase for a shag from Linda in Accounts etc etc etc Being human is a bit shyte as we're all full of self interests and backstab when the goings good.... But then again I'm not that plastic baboon above but if the tables were turned, would you be him, or not?
  4. Thanks to EVERYONE who replied......been showing my colleagues the site, they reckon your ALL a bunch of good people with the same interests....mind you...we've ALL been sitting tight for a while.....Damn whats this Great country of ours become, I'm not shy to be patriotic and dont believe we're all on the same wagon created by Nu-Labour but the after effects of the housing boom have spread to ALL areas like a virus, and this is mutating into different forms of the social spectrum.....The post i sent, being just one of a thousand........
  5. I was out last night with a group of people, had a decent night at the local..... A few so called acquaintences walked in and the subject soon went on to housing and how they are "oh so clever having purchased property before the Booooom" Now a few of my colleagues are professionals and quite young who can't make the first step onto the housing market, but not being patronising, no way, but the so called acquaintences aren't what you I would call skilled intelligent workers by no means, but has ANYONE heard the same old crap from those who have "bought before the booooom" who seem to revel in the fact that they are "better than those who didnt buy before" ????? It seems the fact for some people that those who did buy before the up and up seem to think they are somewhat "cleverer" than others who haven't!!.......the constant gloating and impression that they are sitting in a property worth over a £100k when they bought at £30,000 seems to make them think they are now in a different class.... This "seperation" of classes of skilled and unskilled workers is dependant on a factor of 6-7 years when properties started to increase .....albeit those who purchased council properties and sold them for a killing as well, moving them up the social scale into better areas....... I'm having a whinge and I am P*ssed off at the attitude shown by these people, but work your ass off, get a good education and end up living next to some tossers in a decent area having a whige that they bought their properties £70 bloody grand cheaper than you did! Whinge over........ Now, anyone else experienced the same??? or am i being too sensitive about this issue? get me the prozac!
  6. "MORE" guesswork...blad di blah di blah........ We've all become like those people who get the offers through the post " YOU HAVE WON A MILLION POUNDS" send the prepaid envelope back and you will have your free dosh in crispy bank notes...yeah right.......Hopes are being raised TOO much every day now....think alot of people are fed up....we're all (on here) coming to the brink of expectations although something smells in the air of crash but, as always, we are all mistaken.......If I don't see it in Black and White i won't make any judgements!.
  7. Hopefully, we shall see (MAYBE SOON,MAYBE SOMEDAY) a trigger which will have a long run that will eventually lead to a wisening up of the general populus and an anticipated fall in house prices... Then again I think we're all so itchy on that trigger finger to post on the basis of some bad news that we may "think" this could be it........ I don't think there will obviously be "ONE ALMIGHTY" trigger but whats happened today and news re sub-primes in The good ol'USA , will be a forerunner of many potential run of triggers which will break that straw.....rant over, back to work!!! Anyway, good job I sold my effing shares last month!
  8. GO BACK TO HELL WHERE THOUST CAME FROM CHAV'N SINGLE MOTHER LUVVER! lol!!!!!!
  9. You sound like a PC turd BTL!....get a life you sad f&%$ing twit!......
  10. Fair Point Pluto! Understood! Think I'm getting rather anxious and desperate like everyone else on this board, somethings got to happen "soon" Can't BLOODY wait!
  11. Hang on, Hang on......Much respect Pluto but we've been hearing all the other "could this be the trigger" and all sorts of other titles banded about the board about probable events up and coming...I'm as confused as the next person, just adding more spiked fuel to the fire(!)........I HOPE one day someones prediction comes true on this board....Dr Bubb made a good one about the stock market sell off a while back, was it predicted or a guess??????
  12. Well after personally seeing the aftermath of the Israeli strikes in the Middle East, I don't think this fathoms an inch of humour if this kicked off in Iran....
  13. I used to work for Shabby Abbey in the late 90's until 2003.....they have been cost cutting for a LONG time and cutting back jobs even before Santander was sniffing with their spanish noses....I think the slow demise of Abbey hit home when lord Tugenhadt quit .....The lavish HO where I was based was only open for a year before 2 floors were made derelict of all it's staff....This might be construed as cost cutting back then but this was when house prices were just about to emerge into the fore! We simply could not understand that company's thinking!
  14. HHMmmm!!! Was that Lovell park or Westbank???????????
  15. Well said Solvent Celt!!!!!!!!........I think the time to be "non-reactionary" is in the past....if u "feel" something is not right, why go around communicating like we have to be careful what we say..... So do we think placards depicting beheadings and murdering those who go against islam for example in the streets of london is "non reactionary"......... This is the whole point, we all make statements on an internet site and we get slammed by the pc mob( a few on this thread) although when the above occurs the law do nothing.....like i said common sense in this country has gone out of the window...we all seem to "automatically" favour the ones we think are "less fortunate as minorities" than the citizens of the the this country tryying to make sense of all this crap and to live in peace. God the english have become a joke!.....no wonder we get walked all over!!!
  16. D23..........does d stand for dick......23 for millimetres.....? HHHmmm? i "maybe" wrong???? Anyway, this isn't reactionary foaming at the mouth "stuff".......it wasn't exactly stated in an ultra seriousness manner either...."read it properly".....the point of this thread was made and i was making "points"........understand "points" do you? about certain elements about the way things are going........By the way you are a prat! I work with a LOT of asians in the security industry, nothing was mentioned or targeted towards the "1.6 million asians" a lot of them do agree with the points made, god forbid I should write anything racist, i'd have a riot and my staff would be picketing! ..... get a life and get a grip dick 23
  17. i'd wait till she makes any untoward statements in her speech before people start foaming at the mouth, theres a very good chance she could be one of the vast majority of right minded non funementalist muslims in this country.................. THIS HAS TO BE THE LAST STRAW( no pun intended)....IF THIS EVER COMES TO FRUITION......then I'm sure a stink will be raised by all and sundry .....Then again, we "brits" do f*** all when something like this occurs....don't we? we do the "british" thing.....write about it like moi on some internet site hoping something will change or read about it with a final notation London Bombings......we all calmed down after a while... Teacher with a veil at school.....we ALL see it now, no one gives a toss! Labour Govt...we're all s-l-o-w-l-y being brainwashed into doing nothing, no complaining, the odd demonstration etc etc etc... Face it, the British people(we) are too soft, we aren't like the spaniards/italians, europeans....we "welcome" change as its supposed to be good for us in one weird freaky way...we moan about it for a while, read it in the papers, pretend we've contributed to the "discussion" at the pub, made our voices heard, then shut the **** up about it and not to raise an eyebrow at all! ****** to the labour party ****** to anyone who cannot see whats happening including the PC party( "theres a very good chance she could be one of the vast majority of right minded non funementalist muslims in this country.").....GET LOST YOU PRAT! Bring back common sense Thats me done, for all the good thats done....do i feel better....a bit....think I'll pop off to the pub and discuss this more and then forget about it tomorrow!
  18. I think ALL of us be it house prices, immigration etc etc etc all take the normal "common sense " viewpoint as to how this can or should be corrected......But yeah it does seem to be some sort of LONG TERM conspiracy that is the inevitable conclusion. What else is there? The politicians cannot be "that" dumb, but yet again they seem to be working around some kind of framework. I DO NOT attain to conspiracy theories as a rule of thumb but it makes you think if Joe public was in the hotseat of power, everything would a run a different course!..... So thinking logically and looking back at past events, this all seems to be related(HPC are occuring all over the world, be it slowly) so to think there i a link is a high possibility.....
  19. HHhmmm??? wonder how many banks run by women would be differnt....guess what....NONE!!!. In fact if women ruled the financial world, it would be a hell of a lot more perilous! Think about it, ruthlesness and the object of profit lingers in women MORE than men!!! All the signs in normal society are there!!!!
  20. That " filthdirtscum underclass slag " is seen as a little innocent female, who has a destroyed life because of a man...... she NEEDS the utmost support moneywise and all the free support paid for by the state....and who complains because theres no decent jobs about!!!
  21. I even know immigrants who have come here to be single mums because it is a good deal here. LOL!!! See previous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Just to reply to this, I live not far from where we have a large community of asylum seekers, whom I presume are now permanant here. When they arrived we saw a large number of young girls parading around and chatting to boys and what not...Ok nothing wrong with that, a year and half down the line, we all see the same girls(some looking like 15+) pushing prams, better clothing, smoking, etc etc etc........The lure of easy money and support is their not just for the residents of this once great nation but for those who are here as a last resort from some not so war torn countries!.....Like I stated "creaming" off the nation...... There will be an onging deline in ALL services in this country........this is not melodramatic but fact....just visit your doctors surgery or local A & E to witnes all this...........
  23. Lest we not forget, this is part and parcel of the "feminisation of society" attitude, use the fathers for a child, dump them and then cream off the state with your prized possession being looked after. Once the child is in the frame, the man is not necessarily "required" Don't know if anyone saw the excellent documentary by Michael Buerk on the roles of fathers and men in society....I for one never saw the effects and he has proven this right.....If there was this level of social benefits assistance for single mothers back in the 80's or 90's I'm sure the stats would be quite closer to what David Blunkett has said... I'm not against women or single mothers before the backlash comes but we are so constrained in this society to speak whats in front of us that we always side with what the politicians make us think is the "right way"......... Yes their are irresponsible fathers around but the trend towards women having their own way continues and the "family" unit being eroded away is gathering pace......... BRING FORTH THE FURY! LOL!!!!!!!!!!
  24. This is WIDELY mentioned topic, BUT I work in a BANK in IT...I do regulalry speak to a lot of other staff, internal/external........ Firstly this site is xclnt and I have been a viewer for years.....When I do mention anything about a possible slide in HOUSE prices, looming crash in usa, australia......EVERYONE BUT EVERYONE SEEMS SHOCKED!!!!! NO ONE F'ing has any idea what is going on, even after hints dropped like a sack of tattys on tv, the papers etc etc no one thinks theres something looming over the horizon....... MANY apologies for repeating what everyone knows but I am STILL perturbed at my colleagues and the publics blindness.........mind you, if i (and other users)didnt come across this site/others would we be the same sheep????????????????????????????? Then again, I'm waiting till 2008 b4 buying!!!!
