I know someone who commutes from York to London daily. Ayatollah - extraordinary! What time do they get up? What time do they get back home? That's, what? a three hour journey to King's Cross isn;t it? Poor chap - as it says in the article, great opportunity to catch up on some reading!

I would agree with OP - it is eye-watering when taken in context, i.e. the amounts people have to borrow to actually buy property.

The Bairstow Eves in Hamsey Green, which is between Warlingham and Sanderstead in the London Borough of Croydon has closed - the notice advises people that they should make inquiries to their Sanderstead office. I expect the Sanderstead office to close soon in any case, and the notice in their window will advise people to use the Selsdon branch no doubt.
