So what is the new world? Its not Austrailia or the Americas. It's the United Kingdom.

Imagine a world where young families who work hard, making things, doing things creating real wealth for the country are well rewarded.

Imgaine putting down 25% deposit for a decent house to raise a family. Imagine families who do not have to take on a third job or take part in speculation to keep their heads above water.

Imagine a world where people do not have to take out interest only mortgages or take part in shared equity schemes.

No its a world where people take out typically 15-20 year repayment mortgages that only use up 1/3 of your income.

This is the new world that Graham Beale CEO of Nationwide is eluding to. He himself has 2 teenage children, he does not , I've no doubt want to see them grow up in "lifestlyle" shoeboxes shackled with huge debts. No, this is the new world where the young generation have a fighting chance to make a good start, and repair the damage thats been done for the last decade.

Be proud, be strong, be brave, embrace the new world.

It is ******.

He's eluding to a world where everything that him and his fellow conmen totally control. His kids will be lords of all and you can suck his **** for a piece of paper that gives you generous permission to access the land, food or water that should be yours by birthright.

In this day and age houses should be bought for cash, saved up over a strenous 8 or 9 months. ****** mortgages.

The new world - is in fact the old world, theres nothing new about it.

We are going back to old lending criteria, all the way through to 2010 will be a period of change. It gives everyone a chance to put their financial house in order. No rush to buy, or fall for the bullsh1t rampers now.

How long the new world will stay as it is, is another question though.

Ideally houses could be bought for cash, but that would severly shrink the banking sector. I would like to see the banking sector shrunk, but not obliterated. We still need that sector for a source of employment, especially on a small island as the UK. They should however not make the obscene profits - they need to be more accountable, and more transparent and work strictly to a code of ethics that looks after the customer first.

They need to focus away from profiteering from mortgages, and focus more in investing in businesses creating real tangible wealth.

A bank should be a small secure warehouse for putting valuables in and that's about it.
