IMHAL Posted March 8, 2023 Share Posted March 8, 2023 I think we all know it's pants, it will never work and it won't get past the lawyers. It's also imoral and unworkable. Given that there are no or limted so called 'legal routes' for many asylum seekers it seems very badly thought out. I did agree with the governments actions re Albanian economic refugees tho. Brexit has created this problem which the UK gov is desperatly tying to solve. Own goal springs to mind. Current gov actions are more about politics and optics. Yes that's the bunny, personally I think it would be great to have different sections for politics and economics. But would take a fair bit of active moderation.
