ReadingRabbit
Apologies if this has been posted before: Former Royal Bank of Scotland boss Sir Fred Goodwin has taken out a super-injunction banning the media from referring to him as a banker, according to an MP. John Hemming, a Liberal Democrat, used parliamentary privilege - the rule that allows MPs to say what they want in the House of Commons without fear of prosecution for libel - to name Sir Fred. He told MPs: "In a secret hearing, Fred Goodwin has obtained a super-injunction preventing him being identified as a banker." The MP for Birmingham Yardley called on Parliament to debate the issue of freedom of speech and whether there is one law for the rich and another for the poor. He made the claim during Business Questions in the House on Thursday. porca misèria
Apologies if this has been posted before: Several times. Actually this is a very positive story. The media coverage he's got from it should serve to bring super-injunctions into well-deserved disrepute, and discourage others who might want to abuse them. R K
It is thought he was introduced to Lazard through his friend Nat Rothschild, who worked at the bank in the mid-1990s. Naturally. Blasts the Cadbury takeover in public when he's in govt, comes back to take their banksters dollar when he's not. Who knew!
happy_renting
Apparently it's not about Sir Fred being identified as a ****** or ex-******. On a quite different note, there is a rumour that a certain ****** (now ex-******) had an ***** with a ***** at work. One can only speculate, but I bet he **** and **** ***, then she **** over and *** it up the ****** 3 times every week, before he **** over her ****. Then they **** * *** **** ******** ***** **** *** *** gimp ****. For some reason this **** does not want it made public, as if his public image wasn't in the gutter already. Mentioning no names.
