Having been in Birmingham city centre on the afternoon in question I am able to give an eyewitness account of the fracas. I dont wish the truth to spoil a good story but the demonstrators (black and white unite) started a protest outside birmingham council house in Victoria square against islam or something. They made their way down New Street towards the Rotunda under Police escort. All of a sudden car loads of chav asians turned up in the pedestrianised area which was very naughty because children were running around. The couple of hundred chavasians attacked the black and white unite protesters and grabbed the union flags and set fire to them. Again very naughty because of the smoky fumes. I saw a big black bloke almost take the head off a chavasian with a lovely left hook. All in all lots of fun and great entertainment. Not good for the city centre property market though particulary the iconic rotunda

If there is one especially irritating feature of this forum its what I'd call the Trotskyite Defence. Years ago I used to know a couple of trots. And if you disagreed with anything they said, you were either receiving money from the arms industry, big oil or were an officer in MI5. They believed, you see, there was no possibility you could actually disagree with anything they said on its own merits. So there had to be an alternative explanation.

I agree it shouldn't be a laughing matter. Unfortunately, for many people who have been seriously trying to argue the dangers for years, it has become exactly that due to the silencing tactics used against anybody who dares to question whether what's going on is a good idea.
