Yes, it's almost as if people can freely decide which private companies to do business

Its not almost, they do decide who to do business with. Fooking pack of jokers, giving work to their friends. All fooking at it, like the MP's, only no-one will come forward with the truth, because they get fooked over.

Yes, but if you take a dislike to Tesco's it's almost as if you're not forced to shop there, and if enough people agree with you they won't be a problem for much longer. In the public sector the bigger the problem and the bigger the failures the more money is sucked in.

Exactly why they couldn't get a job elsewhere, if they did that in a private enterprise they'd soon be insolvent.

Correct and the majorityof them were/are trained (in house) by the councils and carry internal job tiltles, such as Project Engineer, Electrical & Mechanica Engineer, Senior Engineer blah blah. An Engineer who works for a council, (no qualifications) got in through an agency, he wrote out the questions for another council member to ask him at the interview, because they never had anyone working for the council with alot of electrical knowledge.

Put this man in the real world, he would be lucky to get the mnimum wage, let alone £35,000 a year plus allowances and 35 days holiday. Ill be happy if all the councils get privatised and make these people work proper hours and pay them what their are really worth.

8.41pm: Nick Brown, the chief whip, has just delivered a "put up or shut up" message to the Labour rebels.

The time has come from them to nominate their candidate, see if they have enough numbers and take the issue to the party conference.

Looks like Labour must be 3rd in Euros

You forgot the bankers, corporates and house flippers in your moment of flippant rage. ;)

I would love to see sammysnake justify the amount of venom spat at the accumulated rip offs of 'scroungers' compared to 'the few' at the top creaming off BILLIONS of pounds into their pockets!

And because they are buddies of elites who 'turn a blind eye' :P - they never get hounded, prosecuted or jailed for not paying things as insignificant as part of their poll council tax!

Yes, on the back of debt...if we and our government borrow money and spend it of course our quality of life improves, now it is pay back time, you can only delay the inevitable for so long then things will not seem quite so good.

Gordon had the cake but he ate it. ;)

Think about the words >

"You > NEVER > HAD > it > so > GOOD!"

Never, (never land) > classic Orwellian 'Double speak' = evil.
